So I got a lightly used, if used at all, PA10 in 308 with a 20inch stainless barrel with rifle length adjustable gas block. It has the PSA lightened trigger, but its not 3.5 lbs, it consistently reads 6 lbs on my gauge. I will be running it suppressed. Can’t wait for it to warm up it shoot it.
Look good, op. Let us know how it shoots. ![]()
I am still contemplating get that Magpul stock. It will always be shot from a bench, prone or tripod so I don’t need a lightweight stock. Putting a Triggertech duty 3.5 trigger in it today. Just building up ammo right now for when I can go shoot.
I have the Gen 3 PA-10 20” Stainless barrel with the EPT (Enhanced Performance Trigger) from the factory. My trigger is basically a MIL-Spec AR-15 set that PSA polishes and puts on a Nickel/teflon coating. It works good (not great). I put the JP Enhanced Reliability spring kit on it . That brought the trigger pull from 7# to 4# (greased). Good thing the rifle came with the adjustable gas block, it needed reduced gas pressure for my regular ammo. I expect if you run a suppressor, you will need to turn the gas block way down. But they are good for that.
And for what it is worth (FWIW), I shoot mostly 165gr .308 ammo; with some 150gr and 175gr too.
When I first got the rifle, I added a little weight to the buffer and tuned the gas block to work with 150gr FMJ 7.62x51, the 165gr SST, and 175gr Sierra Match King (OTM).
I bought a lower 9 months ago now, then life happened and I just this week ordered an upper for it.

Looks like a new user can’t post a new topic so I’ll try asking here. I bought a Gen 3 pistol lower with the SBA5 brace plus a stripped upper when they were in stock around Memorial Day with the intention to build a 12.5” pistol later. I was hoping to get a complete pistol upper at some point but got the stripped one as an insurance policy to make sure I could complete the build even if I didn’t get to it for a long time.
Now that I started looking into parts for completing this I noticed that PSA has no pistol length complete uppers for sale, no pistol length barrels, and no pistol length handguards either. Finding a handguard in 10-12” for DPMS low from another vendor leaves you with few options.
I saw there was recently a complete 12.5” Sabre pistol available (has since gone OOS), but is there any plan to supply either complete pistol length uppers or at a minimum the handguards to make it a little easier to complete the pistol build?
They haven’t offered a 12.5" for a few years other than the sabre. KAK makes good 12.5" barrels. There are plenty of manufacturers that make DPMS low handguards. Tell us what you are looking for and I am glad to help you narrow that down. I have the very first PSA 12.5" 308 and it is one of my favorite guns.
I ended up getting a KAK barrel and Midwest Industries handguard. The rail matched up perfectly to the PSA upper so it worked out in the end.
