PSA .300 Blackout AR-15 Rifle 16" case extraction problems

One of my employees recently bought a PSA .300 BK on my recommendation of a great company. First time out using AAC .300 BK, the rifle cycled 3 times then apparently ripped the base plate off the casing leaving the case jammed in the breach!!! This was confirmed by PSA as the rifle was sent back to them for repair. They said it was bad Ammo…OK, so he went out again with a different brand and the same thing happened after only three rounds. Anyone run across this type of issue, I do not believe at this point it’s an Ammo Problem. Thanks

Welcome back. If It were me, I would try to reproduce the problem then with the cartridge cut and still stuck, open the gun and get photographs of the feed ramp cutting into the cartridge. Unfinished or improperly machined feed ramps are rare but happen. In fact someone recently posted a feed ramp denting the bottom of the cartridge, and PSA replaced it.
Until you do provide photos of the failure, gun and ammo, a complete cause/solution is not clear. It could also be your son tried shooting 5.56 out of that. 300, a common mistake.

Your reading comprehension is obviously lacking today.
The rifle has already been sent back to PSA once for repair. I would assume they checked the feed ramp as the diagnosis was bad ammunition.
I doubt his (son) employee has used 5.56 instead of the 300BO.
I digress as I’m sure if the OP provided pictures you could better diagnose the problem with your vast handling of 25,000 AR’s

The most common thing that causes that problem is ammo. What specific ammo was he using?

Thanks for your response. Bottom to top, It was verified 300 bk ammo. I did see what appeared to be dents(impact points) around the chamber as if the point of the round was not feeding properly. Photos were taken and sent to PSA, Then the rifle was sent back for work. They extracted the casing, sent it back with the rifle and said Ammo, Different Ammo tried and same problem, so ramp issue sound most plausible. Thanks again.

AAC 300 BK the first time, I’ll need to check with him the brand he bought for the second round.
