PSA ARV 10.5" O.A.L ? I need to know before I buy

I need to know the OAL of the PSA ARV 10.5" 9MM 1/10 GX Lightweight HEX M-Lok MOE EPT Har-15 Pistol before I buy it and make it a SBR. Since we have to meet the 29" OAL criteria in Maryland, I want to make sure that’s doable with this pistol. I know you can increase length my longer buffer tubes an butt stock pads. I need to know what I’m working with in order to see if I can realistically add enough length.

You have to measure a pistol from the end of the buffer tube to the end of the muzzle (minus muzzle device if not pinned and welded). An AR pistol with a 10.5” barrel will measure close to 24.5”.

So, does the PSA ARV 9mm use a standard size lower receiver? If so, It looks like I will need to pick up 5” to be legal. So, if I understand it correctly, since it measures from the end of the buffer tube, just adding a longer butt stock isn’t going to add any additional length. I certainly doubt can’t add a 5” longer buffer tube. So, maybe a 3” muzzle device and 2” longer tube?? I’ve never worked with tuning an AR. How l long can you go with a buffer tube without impacting reliability?

Are you wanting to suppress it? If not, there are companies that make extended flash hiders but they will need to be P/W.

I wouldn’t change the buffer tube as that adds in more issues since it is a blowback firearm.

The ARV is close to a standard AR lower.

It’s removable, not pin and weld.

The other thing to remember is 9mm barrels measure different than AR barrels. With ar15, the barrel extension (chamber) isnt included in the measurement. With 9mm it is because there is no barrel extension. A 10.5” 9mm barrel will only be 10” outside the receiver.
