Nothing that I can share… But it’s a high priority from what I’m told.
One would hope, it would run head to head with several of the hottest selling pistols right now (365xl, 43x, etc), and beat them hard on price. I expect PSA will sell them as fast as they can make them between now and Christmas.
Really wish this would come sooner rather than later. I’ve been wanted to get a Shield Plus to replace my Shield 1.0, but before investing in a new Shield Plus (great gun and value in its own right BTW) I want to see how I like the new subcompact Dagger in comparison. On plus for the Shield Plus is the aftermarket is already heavy into the Shield so holsters, etc are readily available. My biggest complaint with a Shield is the lack of a front rail.
If a subcompact Dagger is as easy to carry as a Shield or P365, and has an optics cut, and front rail then it will be a real winner IMO. Especially if PSA releases it with some good/quality holsters available upon release.
I’m also back searching for news again; in the event Oregon passes a magazine ban next week, I’d really like to get the 15 rounders stocked up beforehand lol.
Fingers crossed we hear anything soon.
So are we going to see this released for Black Friday ?? Inquiring minds want to know
Have not heard anything about that.
Keep in mind the Shot Show version was a pre-production model. Once PSA has settled on the design they build a few and torture test them (thousands of rounds). Then they make a few and have affiliates twst them. It is a very long process to get a functioning firearm to the market.
I’ve got 1-1/2 daggers, and love them out of all my other pistols……Especially the complete dagger! Is this 43 sized dagger really coming? I’m 100% in for one or 3 if so. By the grace of Clarence Thomas my Maryland carry permit is on its way, and my dagger is going to be my open carry piece, but I’d like a 43 sized one for easier concealment.
Yes it’s coming, but it’s a 43x size not 43. And I believe it will use proprietary 15rd magazines. There are a few videos of the pre production dagger sub compact on YouTube. I’ll probably get one. Or three.
Looks like it’s gonna be too late lol. Rip. The rest of y’all… enjoy
Too late for what?
This
Anyone getting their hopes up for a black Friday release?
My hopes have been dashed. It really is a shame, and I hope PSA learns their lessons this time. Hyping everyone up and then having delay after delay on display for all to see, with no communication to those who are anxiously waiting to give them cash. I understand sh*t happens, but this is painful.
No one hyped anyone up. The SHOT model was pre-production. Supply chain issues are happening in every issue.
I’m not looking to get into a pissing match, as you seem to be a bit defensive. Just out of curiosity, what would you say is the purpose of manufacturers showcasing new and upcoming (pre-production) models at Shot Show, if not to promote (hype) their products?
I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.
*Edit- It’s not like any of the manufacturers are unaware of supply chain issues, production problems, internal delays, etc, etc. Perhaps they should just be more careful with their release estimates, with all factors taken into account.
The purpose of SHOT is to show what they have been working on. LaRue took 8 years to being their Siete to the market after debutting at SHOT. Production model looks nothing like the original. Several years ago a guy debutted a Trigger Activated weapon light…thankfully i have never seen that come to production.
My point is this: SHOT is a trade show with “we hope to produce” models. Sometimes they hope to produce them quicker than they can. Not everything will come out, but most do eventually. The micro will be out at some point. But dont lose sleep on it thinking it will be tomorrow.
As for defensiveness…yep. because folks here, on arfcom, glocktalk, etc. Ask EVERY DAY. When there is an update we will all know.
My point is, maybe they should set more realistic expectations and not say “…ready in 3 to 4 months.” or whatever the time frame stated was at the time. I don’t recall exactly what their initial estimates were, it’s been a looong time since those statements were made by PSA.
As for your defensiveness, maybe don’t take things so personally. This IS a discussion forum after all, and discussion about new models is bound to happen. Chill.
Certainly discussion is welcome. But scroll up through this thread alone and see how many folks ask “any updates?” Only to get the same answer.
PSA doesnt do hard deadlines for the very reason you said. Things happen. Time tables get adjusted by things PSA cant control. We will all find out when they release something.
And if people keep asking for updates, why do you care? Just don’t read the posts, don’t engage. As long as the discussion is civil and respectful, no big deal. This conversation isn’t productive or entertaining. Have fun.
Because as a mod here i read every post…and your frustration showed when you said “i hope PSA learns their lesson this time.” Your frustration isnt on PSA…
