- PSA KS47 Series Hybrid AK style Lowers
In early 2016 PSA announced the arrival of the Hybrid AR/AK lower. The official PSA site description reads as follows :
The Palmetto State Armory KS47 is a variant of AR15 that combines the modular construction, accuracy and precision of the AR platform with the stopping power and the magazine options of the AK. While the current AR47 fires the 7.62x39 AK round, it uses modified AR-style magazines that are not nearly as plentiful as AK-style magazines, that were optimized for reliable feeding of the 7.62x39 round. The KS47 lets the AK shooter capitalize on his inventory of magazines and ammo with an AR-style platform.
Unlike the AK, where the barrel is permanently pressed into the receiver, the KS47 features an AR-style modular configuration which consists of a barreled upper receiver, and a lower receiver that houses the fire control group and magazine. The modular configuration allows customers to have several different barrel configurations with one lower receiver, just by releasing two pins.
Lower: 7075-T6 billet aluminum is hardcoat anodized, and accepts standard AR15 fire control groups. The extended magazine release is outside of the trigger guard for safety, which allows for an AK-style release movement, but also features oversize side paddles for fingertip release by the trigger finger.
The KS47 lower requires the use of the PSA KS47 upper to accept AK magazines. Do not try to use standard AR uppers. They will not function with AK magazines.

- PSA Billet Upper and lower Series Lowers
In early 2016 PSA announced the arrival of the Billet Upper and lower set. These routinely sell stripped for 399.99 each, and on sale for 299.99 per set. the official PSA site description reads as follows :

- PSA Custom Series Billet Upper and Lower
In early 2019 PSA released their Custom Series Billet sets. They are very nice looking, and sell for around 274.95 for both upper and lower.
They have unique badging for the PSA Custom Series.

Some folks are reporting new serial number prefix’s. PI and others. If there are confirmations of these please send me photos so i can edit the page.
- PI Serial Prefix lowers
These forged lowers are quality made using material is 7075-T6 and are marked “CAL MULTI” to accommodate most builds. Finish is Black Hardcoat Anodize per MIL-8625
Type 3 class 2.Serial Number prefix is “PI”. Fire selector is marked “Safe” and “Fire”. This is a “high shelf” lower. These lowers debut’ed around July 2016.

There has been some noticeable differences between the DC and LW lowers. As can be seen here in the following photos the DC seems to be less refined with its machining.

Being that these are some of the first runs of the DC’s, one can hope that they refine the machining to smooth out the differences. the magwell and grip webbing areas need particular attention as is shown in my opinion.
PSA “SCD” prefixed Lower receivers
In early 2017 PSA began producing more of their own lower receivers. These lowers are being produced in house by PSA or one of its conglomerate’s sister companies.
there are so far 2 variations of these lowers, a normal no trigger guard lower, and an integral trigger guard lower.

It is my belief that any PA, PI, PF, or P*, and the SCD series of lowers are being produced in house by PSA or one of its Conglomerate’s sisters, one of these companies is widely known and mentioned before above. I have concrete evidence to state this, from conversations and various discussions and talks with people high up in PSA organization. That said, its all hear say because its not official. Take anything i’ve said here as just that, what I Believe and say, as I am no employee and know nothing of their business that can be stated as concrete legally to my knowledge. lol
- The PSA Black Friday Store Special Tribute Lowers
For Black friday 2018, PSA made a limited run of lowers for their stores. Each store was tasked with developing an image for the roll mark, and then it was sent to production. I believe the production numbers for each lower was 500 lowers per store. I could be wrong with that. If anyone has a lower for the stores that is over 500 in serial please let me know. Until PSA gives me exact production numbers on these lowers I wont know how many were made of each for sure. PSA has 5 stores, but only 4 of the stores were permitted to do this, as the Ridgeland store is so small they didn’t believe their clientele would be as interested in a lower to build for their store. That said, The other 4 stores were, Greenville, Columbia (Fernandina road) Summerville, and Mt. Pleasant. The Logo for the Greenville store, is reminiscent of Las Vegas’s sign as it is a play on what many locals call Greenville G’vegas. Columbia’s lower, was designed to say COLA with a bullet swoosh under it, playing off the Soda City type name of Columbia, to be Cola. Summerville went with a Blackbeard the pirate theme, and Mt. Pleasant chose to use the new Ravenell Bridge as their logo. Here they are:

In the summer of 2023, PSA opened its first store in the Myrtle Beach area. For this store’s Grand Opening they had produced a limited amount of Store Specific lowers, much like the Black friday lowers above. At this time, I believe that there was only 500 made, but that number is not definate. They may have made more, and i’ll work on getting those exact numbers. I also believe that the price was the same as any other standard lower at the time which was 59.99. If it was not, I’ll edit that later as well.

- The PSA MEME Specialty Lowers
In mid -2018, PSA had started out making more specialty Lowers. These started out as a tongue in cheek type thing, but have since morphed into a Lower of the Month program. They started with a thread in AR-15.com’s GD section, and have morphed into this wonderful thing that I’ve deemed MEME lowers. There are other lowers that i will include here that PSA developed on their own but because of the special roll marks that were chosen, I feel they fit right in here with the other Meme Lower receivers. The lowers are all low Shelf Lowers, and made by PSA in house by their sister companies under the JJE Capital brand. Most of the artwork that is on these lowers is provided by another Arfcom forum member @BrickWurX, so be sure to give him some thanks and love for his hard work on these too. The Lowers are AR-15 lowers, AR-10 Lowers, AR-9 lowers, and soon even an AR-45 Lower is slated for production. These lowers are as follows, and will be added as they go into production / pickup from being shipped.
