Rifle Storage Case

Picked this 4 Rifle Storage Case up from Amazon and is working out to be pretty nice and handy!

I picked up a Case Club 2-pistol case several years ago and have been extremely happy with it. It’s very well built, much more reasonably priced than Pelican, and comes with pre-cut foam on the inside -no arts and crafts merit badge required.

For sure, Pelicans were about the same with no foam.

I like to use Closets with Doors, and a 5 gallon bucket.

The rifle goes in a normal carrying case, muzzle down in the bucket.

Then all the miscellaneous crap for that rifle also goes in the bucket.

Not perfect but it’s better than having them laying on the floor.

There’s a thing called a Key lock, that is a locking clamshell that fits over the door knob of the closet.

it’s not hard to sync the Keys of the Key-locks in case you have more than one closet with guns in it.

Nothing fancy, I threw it together quickly because I had the Key-locks and the buckets laying around.

I’m going to get one of these from Harbor Freight tomorrow. I saw it on the FB dagger group. Pick n pluck foam for a more custom fit $45. They have other sizes and also a rifle case.

That’s a really good price! Probably just as good as the one I bought back in 2019:

In real life “what ever works!” Function over form!

I love Pelican, and make a ton of cash, but I’m a CHEAP BASTARD, if something else is just as good and cheaper then I’m going to use that!

I’m not cheap just frugal. I hate paying for a brand name when something else is just as good :+1:

I absolutely despise Amazon and will never buy anything from them!!!

Uuuumh, not cheap, but I have been told that I’m “tighter than two coats of paint” when it comes to spending money.

Borrowed from the FB dagger group. Apache 3800 tan and 4800 black.

Looks like it will hold more than shown. For the money it looks good.
$170

Hard case, transport to range by Nanuck:

I have a few of the Apache cases from harbor freight. The work well for electronics (ham radio gear).

I tend to run soft cases for long guns and pistols in gun rugs &/or holsters in a backpack.

Love what you guys posted though. Might have to give some of the ideas a whirl.

I’m really tempted by those new Magpul Daka Lego-style cases. The little burn scars on my hands tell me I should never be allowed to use a hot-wire knife again, so I’m curious if anyone gets one to see what they think. They’re not a significant amount more expensive than the Pelican cases included with them.

The Apache cases from Harbor Freight have the foam that you just pull out by hand. Pick n pluck. You trace around your gun with a pencil then just pull out the cubes for a custom fit.
