I am eagerly awaiting delivery of my Sig Romeo 5 as well as an MSR and wanted to see if anyone had any advice on these or opinions based on your use.
I have a Romeo5 and I like it. Red dots have come a long way in the past 10 years. It’s not an Aimpoint, but it does what I need it to do.
I have two Romeo 5s, one on my AK-V and one on my GF3. They both do the job and I will probably order another one eventually for an AR.
I have a Romeo 5 on one of my AR’s. I really like the shake awake feature.
I’m using a romeo 5 on my 458 socom, it works great. I have an EO Tech on all my other ARs, but romeo was my first red dot and is a solid product
This is what I am considering as well. Glad I found others using this sight with good reviews!
Got two AR-15 kits from PSA and love them. Put a Romeo5 on one of them and it seems pretty nice. Have only gone to the range once with it - will see how it is next time (maybe there will be less “user error” and I can honestly see how accurate the optics are)
I might end up with the same on my other AR - or I might go in a different direction.
i have multiple romeo 5’s and love them. they are great for their price and ddo exactly what i need. i highly recommend them.
Has anyone seen the videos the romeo2 I think it’s doing to be about $400 about the same as the Romeo1. Thoughts?
I know this is a bit late to the party, but +1 on romeo 5. Have probably 8 of them across different platforms and not a single issue yet. Clear, crisp dot, and mount solid. And inexpensive as hell. Have used them close and far and never let me down
I have a few Romeo 5’s for my AR’s. They can sure take a beating while training. Cheap enough not to break your heart if something does happen. I know a lot of people who use EO’s and alot of high end red dots’. They are the same people who’s AR’s are “Case Queens” and and don’t let them get dirty. I can drag a Romeo through the mud all day in the rain without much worry.
I recently got that extra Romeo 5 for my AR and even added a Juliet 3 Micro magnifier. Good combination.
I got Romeo 5 for couple of years and it always has peak performance and robust 1x aiming solution for any situation. For all of my friends who think about purchasing red dot device - I advice this one to try first. Also I have tried few other ones - though my dad is not a real professional, but he has big experience through the years of his hobby and he taught me a lot of things.
I’ve been running a no name Amazon red dot on my Saiga for over a year now and it’s been fine but the new Sig MSR I got from PSA last week is so much nicer.
Need to get Juliet for this thing next time they are on sale.
Im extremely pleased with my R5. I have 4. One on my SP5, MKE AT94, PSA AR, and PSA AK. I also have an EOTech, Sig R7, and have owned a Trij ACOG and AimPoint. For the money, you cant beat the Sig Romeo line of red dots. Very reliable.
I just tested the Sig Romeo 5XDR on a KSG shotgun.
With Winchester PDX1 Defender rounds the Triangle Reticle was spot on at 7 to 10 yards.
30 rounds and it was still spot on. I used red loc-tite to keep everything together.
Ive got 2Ă— Romeo 5 and a Juliet 3. The 3 bounces between my PSA kit guns.
Few years back I dropped a coyote stalking my dogs on a hike. 80ish yards off hand spine shot with just the Romeo5.
Used the romeo 5 for several classes and as the go to on my truck gun for a few years. Got the romeo 5 caught on the steel bench seat bracket in my truck and slammed said optic into that fixed object hard about 4 times before looking fir the hangup.
Romeo 5 takes much abuse and very long battery life with the shake awake. Great entry level upgrade over iron sights.
Mounting the SIG ROMEO MSR RED DOT AND JULIET 3 MICRO MAGNIFIER COMBO.
On an AR I tend to mount my Red dot about as far forward on the upper Receiver as I can.
But I just got my 1st Red dot Micro Magnifier combo.
Any of you who have run this setup how did you like the two mounted?
I have 3 Romeo 5’s. I lost my zero yesterday on a dedicated AR22, just like that the dot was all over the place…on a 22! This one was a gift new in box. Then l compared it to the others and what l have is a cheap knock off. Watch it they are out there. The shake awake feature never worked either.
