The Ocean Levels have risen 3” at least this year alone, with all the PSA Giveaways being Lost At Sea… 
Picked up my SKS this week and began the process of cleaning up the cosmoline fairly easy with mineral spirits. The stock sat outside all day in 115 degree heat. All number matching except the dust cover. I cleaned and oiled well enough to check for function and reassembled. Picked up three boxes of 7.62x39 up at PSA and heading to the range. Thank you again PSA and Josiah, you guy really are the best. My SKS all degreased and ready to shoot.

Nice! Those receiver covers rarely match anyways. As long as your bore and crown are decent you couldn’t ask for a better one. Good bluing and just the right amount of character on the stock.

SKS looks nice. I got to see the Carcano ( gotta wait til Tues to bring home) the gun shop coincidentally had a 7.35mm Carcano for sale. Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to

I’ve got parts coming tomorrow from Sylvan Arms and from PSA for my 300 Black pistol. I have an Armaspec H2 SMB sitting here waiting on some of those deliveries.
Also I’m planning a rifle build and looking at stuff…FDE with a FDE red dot…
Going shooting next Saturday…

I bought the PSA 10.5” Upper on a Whim, not exactly knowing what I was looking to do (pistol or SBR?). Then, Brownells put the 17-Design folding Lower on Sale, whilst Midway put the BSL on Clearance, and it became Obvious.
I put-off Assembly because I hadn’t gotten around to ordering anything else - then Thursday I was looking for a punch in the Gunsmithing Rollaway, and it dawned on me that I already had 99%+ of everything I needed for an AR Pistol.
As luck would have it, I’m short the mag-catch (but I have five buttons and springs!) and Takedown Pins (like, what IDIOT doesn’t have seven or eight sets just laying around with all the other 382 AR Parts in the Drawer? ME, Apparently!)
Another Drawer revealed three complete FCG’s, including the Frankin BFS-III. So’s I said to myself “Self” I sez: “That there Frankie NEEDS stuck in a Pew-Pew!” So it went on the pile.
Anyways, I got on Midway, and $15 later, the three missing items are wending their way to me.
…And another $375 of OTHER stuff, because aforementioned Idiot… (do NOT tell The Wife about that, por favor.…)
Next Up: that Romanian Underfolder I’ve had for a year now, and finally got a couple of Lowers for, then mebbe a Hungarian AKM. Both gonna be a Challenge.

Finally got to pick the 6.5 Carcano today. It looks to be in really good condition and was not covered in gunk. I definitely will clean it and inspect it further. I haven’t ordered ammo for it yet, but will (thanks CoolRick for a credible source for 6.5 x 52mm).

The giveaways are great at bringing people on and keeping them active in those threads. We do plan on doing some more - but we try and space them out a little bit. I’ve toyed with the idea of doing “ghost giveaways” - where we will have a random thread and the only way you will know is that you will be awarded flair once you hit a certain post threshold in it.
It’s hard to grow a forum from the ground up and it really is a community effort. I have been trying to think of different posts or topic ideas for people to engage in that will be interesting in the mean time.
