about 6 months ago i was checking on primers and came across one of those sites.
the prices were $35/40 per 1000.
nobody else gave prices because they had been out of stock for some time. when some came up at $95 to over a hundred i decided to just wait and im still waiting.
Honestly with psa putting out 9 and 556 and more to come im probably not gonna venture off online too much. 1 or 2 other sites can take care of my needs.
Damn I got scammed. Thought I was doing a trade for a Benchmade and it was a counterfeit! I cannot believe how close China is making some of these fakes. They are almost identical well except they use cheap materials. Even the packaging and boxes are being copied!
People need to stop fooling around with these pop-up scam sellers and go straight for the quality stuff from reputable sites like Wish, Ali Baba, and Temu. Buy once, cry once, I always say.
Heres a few things to always review.
Headers and footers are generally big give aways.
A professional UX individual puts a reasonable amount of effort into those areas. It should contain a couple of links to various administration oriented pages such as about us meet the team or legal disclaimers.
Terms of service/privacy policy is generally another area completely ignored by scammers but its a pain in the rear necessary part of liability protection for legitimate businesses.
A lot of these goons if they do it at all just rip a legitimate business’s copy so the entities listed within dont match.
Any number of repeated issues with a broken/poorly organized menu should also be a red flag.
Another tool thats for other things but helpful is any various of “who is” tools for website registration information. If you use chrome or brave theres common extentions for those apps in your browser.
Lastly if you add /admin /wp /login to the end of the .com and it loads a login page beware.
I beleive I was blocked on a trader for 2 things 1) I Hadn’t posted for years.
2)A guy in my area StLouis MO was stealing all kinds of money at AKfiles and other places .
3) I was asking very little for an original barreled kit . Sold for 325.00 . But they banned me right in the middle of the transaction. So I turned around and sold it on gun broker. It sold within two hours of me posting it. There’s what happens when people get paranoid. I’ve been messing with gun collecting for 40 years. Lucky I’ve never never had one bad deal in 40 years. I feel sorry for those lost money though.
Anyone bought anything through F5 mfg lately? I had seen that PSA and OP work with them so I figured they were okay….7 weeks later, no reply to emails or calls. The site says 2-4 weeks and I don’t mind waiting but when companies completely ignore you….usually a red flag. Anybody else experience this? Definitely should have googled first and normally I do but like I said above.
