10/22 Takedown Advice

So I just got my Rugar 10/22 takedown and figured before searching the web for opinion, I would start here. I’m looking to add a scope and suppressor. I’m thinking the scope should be small, and no wider than the rugar itself, and if it can fit in the stock, bonus. As far as suppressor, it would be my first and would I be better off to get one for this sole firearm that can be used on others? Additionally, does anyone have a gallery of images that they can point me to to search those options?

A scope that fits in the stock? What kind of stock and optic type are you using? As for the silencer, go to someplace like Silencer Shop 22LR and look there. They have good reviews and make the process of ordering straightforward.

First thanks for responding, and I will check out the silencer shop. So the magpul break down stock has a cavity that houses 3 magazines or you can remove those and put a scope in there for maximum space utilization. I figure if I need more than 10 rounds I just take a box of 50 when camping instead of the extra magazines.

Personally I’d use the storage space for mags. Extra mags are never a bad thing, but constantly mounting and dismounting (and therefore having to re-zero) a scope sounds like a massive pain.

I wanted to expand on the silencer too. A 22 silencer is amazing and will absolutely hook you. You’ll never want to shoot loud again. Makes it a ton more fun. I think all silencers for 22 are direct thread, too.

Well that’s about all I needed to hear, logic about the zeroing in, thanks for the astute point and I will just get the same scope have on my fixed 10/22.
