I now own 4 subject 9mm 1911 style handguns (3 of which are depicted). I think if PSA does an aluminum double stack grip module a little cheaper than the three main (expensive) options out there…I think there’s money to be made! I know 7 dudes right now (including myself) that would be interested! Likewise, magwells and a PSA custom trigger shoe and bow!! I’m just saying!
just curious, have yall looked at the Tisas offerings in double stacks?
I have and they’re nice, but the fit and finish aren’t as good as others.
i’ve got 3 tisas, none are double stacks… that said the 3 i own have great fit and finish. I’ll hvae to check out their double stack to see. otherwise a friend let me shoot his springfield prodigy last weekend and i think i want one of those now.

For entry level, the Prodigy is great! I did the EGW kit, DLC everything and Atlas tool-less guide rod for less than the price of my Staccato C2. To be honest, I prefer my 4.25 Prodigy.
How do you like that Steiner dot?
The window is bigger than my Aimpoint ACRO (same footprint), the dot is crisp, and the battery life is really good so far. I’ve adjust purchased another one for a Glock. It’s the easy button!
thats a lot of mags with that gun… did you trade into it or buy it with all those accessories? it looks good, but im still on the fence about double stack 1911s.
The P was a recent purchase, but only came with the standard 3 magazines. The other mags are from my Staccato C2, and Prodigys. Once you go double stack, you will never go back, LOL!
I really like the RIA double stack 10mm…railed, threaded barrel, and can be found for around $800…

I’ll have to agree to disagree.. I owned a Para Ordinance Black Ops Combat Double stack, and i’ve shot a prodigy too… they’re cool.. and i may get a prodigy, but you cant beat a good 5" government size 1911 with all the good tweaks done to it.. slide being like its on glass rails… man.. thats a sexy gun… the doublestacks, meh…
I agree, and that’s why there are so many options! Polymer, steel, aluminum, pick your poison! As for me, double stack 9mm all day!!
