I recently purchased a colt ar 22lr conversion kit. It is a great way to put rounds down range & save a little coin.
I also have a Franklin binary lower & the two go together like pb&j, thing is, I’m constantly reloading. I know there has to be a beefier magazine option to the 25 round (x3) ones provided. I was hoping for a high capacity, 100 rounds, drum or 50+ round magazine. After a somewhat lengthy interwebs search, I’ve come up empty handed .
So if anyone knows where I could procure one of these I would certainly appreciate the feedback.
Havent seen those. Mostly what i see are the cmmg kits.
Black Dog has 30 rounders but that’s all I’m aware of.
Ty, I saw that, they also have an AR-15 .22lr 50rd drum. I am emailing them about compatibility. While I’d prefer something larger I’ll take what I can get
.thanks again
I have and use their 30s. They’re gtg. Had to straighten the feed lips on one due to shipping damage. Plastic bag with a cardboard tag is how they’re shipped.
I have one of Black Dog Machine’s 50rd drums. It has always worked great for me.
I also have a 40rd mag; but I can’t remember if it’s for my 22 conversion or my M&P15-22. But If I recall correctly, someone makes an adapter so you can use 15-22 mags in a 22 conversion.
black dog mags is what i run in my cmmg bravo conversion kit. i buy only the ones with the steel lips, as the plastic ones tend to wear with use.
if i remember correctly there may be a 50 or 100 round drum from them, im going by memory though so im not sure.
best of luck, but id google black dog .22 ar mags and see what comes up… make sure they’re compatible with the colt kit first, then go from there
