I am getting ready to order either a gen 3 or sabre upper in 308. Will the Gen3 3 click adjustable gas block limit me to just 3 positions or does it offer additional rotations, The goal is to eventually put a suppressor on it, and I want to be able to adjust the gas as necessary.

Hey James, welcome. I have the sabre m110 and had some failure to eject/feed in the first 100 rounds or so. Had it set on the second click and it was actually throwing the brass case back into the chamber off of the deflector knob (Shouldve gotten the Billet slick side). This is usually a sign of over gassing, but position 1 is basically no gas making it a single shot without ejection. So, position 3 all the way open is where I’m at and was worried Id have to pop on a riflespeed 12 position gas block. Luckily position 3 gave me perfect 3o’clock ejection. Its currently unsupressed, Id imagine position 2 would be adequate with a can on since there will be back pressure. That all being said, there really is no fine adjustment with the 3 position gas block. I’d go with an upper with the 5 position or a riflespeed if you plan on suppressing it.
