Sabre adjustable gas block

I recently got a Sabre FN barrel upper 13.7" and it has adjustable gas block, anyone have one of these? I’ve used one before on a Mini-14 and it definitely worked to tune the over gassing and brass launching. But on an AR I’ve never had one. I have the upper mated to a Saber lower bought separately, it sure is a nice looking rifle and I’m looking to take it to the range in a few days.
How do you like the adjustability?
How did it come set from the factory set?

If you are running suppressed it will be a nice addition. Should be at the middle setting from the factory.

I just recently got my first suppressor, and noticed immediately I need an adjustable gas block :rofl:

I run adjustable gas blocks (the restrict-flow type) on all AR builds… not Saber brand. (The type that bypasses gas to outside the barrel is just f_n silly.) Anyway, most AR barrels deliberately (way!) over gas for reliability reasons… WITHOUT running suppressed!
Enjoy the FN barrel! :+1::+1:

Thanks for all the replies as they are much appreciated. I’ll be hitting the range tomorrow morning with the Sabre and see how it shoots. I’ve always addressed over gassing with a heavier buffer spring and buffer, I like the Sprinco blue and H2 buffer combo as it works well. But having adjustable gas should solve the problem just the same I would imagine. Anyway going to bring 3 kinds of ammo with to test and hopefully run 80 to 100 rounds through it, should be interesting.
