AAC Ammo pausing production

AAC is NOT shutting down. They are simply pausing production until they have a reliable powder source (which they are working with another company to build a powder plant). That may take a year.

Prime example of why I stockpile ammo.

yeah the building of the Powder plant that they will most likely jointly own will take up to a year, but that doesnt mean they will be on hiatus for a year, if they find a more inexpensive source of powder sooner, they’ll be back with a vengeance with them.. lets hope and pray for the best here.. this is a classic case of the government cant ban the gun, but can ban or make it damn near impossible for you to get ammo to shoot it, so whats the good of the gun anyways. be vigilant yall.. this is why the 2nd matters soo much.

goodbye to a lot actually sadly.

this is a big hit to the consumer ammo market if you ask me.

Yet again the decision to vertically integrate every possible part of the process for nearly everything they sell proves to be a good idea. PSA has grown huge, and quietly getting bigger all the time.

AKA “IDIQ contracts.” What happened to all that ammo that Barry Bullcrap ucked off the market anyway? Seems to me that anything not actually NEEDED could and should be sent to GSA for surplus sale…

Charcoal, Sulfur and Saltpeter. Blackpowder is dirty as hell, but not unobtainium.

The government has it’s own stockpile to maintain and there is no amount that they consider “enough”.

We are on war footing whether they tell us so or not. We have been since 9/11 at least.

You mean THEY are on war footing, whether against foreign threats or against We The People.

Here’s one youtuber’s wonderful alarmist title, however some of the stuff he had to say about the ammo itself was pretty good… it does make me wonder how many sensationalist videos and reviews we’ll see out there about the hiatus of AAC.

I’m damn glad to know they are not yet another casualty in the ammo chain. I pray they are able to get the facility up and running quickly. I buy the AAC ammo in bulk for the range. I have yet to have any issues with any of their products. It certainly makes nice hole in paper.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

first, Welcome to the forums @michaelharter629 we’re glad to have you Michael! please make yourself at home and we’ll see you in other threads too!

2nd I want to make one thing clear about the ammo plant temporary pause of production since we had our admin meeting with the mother ship this past friday, i want to make it abundantly clear what they told us… and i dont think im breaking anything by stating this.

AAC could still be producing ammo, by buying the gunpowder from their original suppliers as they had been all along… HOWEVER.. because of the military industrial complex as they mentioned in their video, the price that they would have had to pay to continue to get that gunpowder from their suppliers like they always had, would have gone up exponentially. To the point that they would have had to have raised prices to the consumers somewhere past 2-even Three Times as much per round that they were charging for each round… So basically take your favorite Ammo of theirs you buy regularly, and take that number and multiply it by 3 minimally… (so say a 20.00 box of 9mm now would cost 60.00) and well AAC was not willing to do that to their customers. So they opted to build their own Gunpowder facility to make and supply powder for AAC themselves.

its gonna take some time to build the facility, about a year is what we’ve been told, but have faith, theyll be back with the thunder, and they’ll own the entire production line then. from start to finish… no more interruptions by anyone for anything after that. thank goodness! I cannot wait!

I just tried your 7.62x39 recently and loved it, I hope that you can get production back up soon.
