I spent a little over 2 weeks in Cimmeron NM back in 1990. I was only 15, and i hiked 75 some odd miles, yeah, i was a fresh Eagle Scout at my first trip to Philmont Scout Ranch. looking back on it, it was a hell of a time. while doing it, i remember being super sore, tired, and hungry from time to time. wouldnt change it though. it was sooooo beautiful, and man the live wildlife that would come right up to you was unreal. talk about life experiences to a young teen. no parent around either… it wsa amazing. all this before the time of cell phones or pagers. back when men were men. lol

We have a little spread out there near Ramah New Mexico. Beautiful drive in across the Zuni reservation.

Good neighbors and quiet. We can see the continental devide from the south end of the property.

Not able to hike sounds like quad or one of the small off road buggies might fit you better. We are at about 6,500 foot elevation.
