Hello all new member and wanted to start a discussion on striker fired pistols and what brands and of course the can’t leave anything alone so some mods you have made ETC.
myself I started with a Glock gen3 model 22 and I couldn’t shoot that pistol to save my life literally so I sold it and went back to my trusty 1911’s but my favorite browning hi power and got my confidence back, jump ahead several years later the Springfield xd lineup caught my eye and I went to look at one to purchase and it felt great from the initial pick up hold in my hand so I bought a XDM 3.8 full size frame and I only made a few mods from PRP a fantastic match trigger with aluminum trigger and I put the much sturdier striker roll pin in the slide while I had it apart which in my opinion was a fantastic cheap mod but once I hit the range I was in love I literally was shooting this striker fire pistol better then any other pistol in my line up the bugger just fit my hand perfect felt perfect and it could shoot so I’ve since bought several Springfield XDM pistols in 9mm, & .40 S&W which was a standard XD but I sold it as I liked my 9mm’s and I’ve wanted a 10mm in the worst kinda way but of course COVID hit and I’ve yet to get my beloved 10mm OSP version as I have a XDM Competition 5.25 in 9mm that has a springer precision optic mount (plus a good bit more mods done to it) but I’ve got a Holosun HS 507C X2 which IMO Is a fantastic optic but I really love the optic and being a 10mm might have a lil more recoil to it I rather have the optic mounted directly to the slide rather then using a optional mount to achieve the mounting of the optic but I’ve got one in my future and can’t wait to get it and do some work to it. So that’s a small novel on myself and my very much fondness of Springfield Armory and there XDM line up. Ty fellow members
