Yeah, they kicked back my first one for it.
I had a similar issue before they added a drop-down for models. MPX box label said MPX-P, so thats what I put in the field. My very special agent said no, it has to be just MPX. Only took an extra 9 gd months…
Which version of the AKV did you have and did the Zhukov require any drilling to attach? I’m going to order an AKV and plan to sbr with the same stock, so want to make sure I order the correct one.
I had the SBA3 version and it did not require any drilling, just the puzzle piece which that version comes with. I did have to heat the screws up to remove them (melt the loctite). Just remember to use the prefix AKV on your serial number (it’s on the bottom one) and not just the number itself. They will kick it back if you don’t use it. Good Luck!

Of course, but I started my Form 1 all the same. Might as well get it over with and then I can mount what I want on it.
I’m going to be doing the same to a couple. With all the future jakl variants on the horizon, im going to need at least a form1 lower to host them all because my brain says get a bunch of uppers on a single lower. And because one of the variants might be designed to work on a KS lower, it makes sense to do one there too.

Hey Nigel, I know this is a relatively old post but I was just curious. I’m getting my akv soon and wanted one of the zenitco charging handles but couldn’t figure out which one I needed for sure. In the picture you provided it looks like you have the rp-5 which is supposed to fit AKM’s, but I thought the rp-2 was the one to get because it fits the vityaz. So should I get the rp-5 like you have or should I get the rp-2? Thanks for any reply!

The AK-V, like all of PSA’s AKs, uses an AKM style charging handle so the RP5 is the one to go for.
RP2 for the KUSA KP9 which is more of an accurate clone of the Vityaz.
Hard to find item at the moment, US Customs are seizing most shipments from Russia.

Yeah, I was just reading about how hard getting stuff from Russia is right now. Hopefully, that changes at some point because it seems like a fantastic upgrade. Thanks so much for the info!

It’s doable but there is a chance you might lose it.
I’ve heard that there is a possibility of ordering Zentico items from another country in Europe but I’ve seen nothing solid yet.
A decent alternative is this from Texas Weapon Systems. I run them on two of my AK’s and they work well.

I saw this exact product today but wasn’t sure if they would fit the AKM charging handles but I trust your judgment. I think I’ll go for this one since I don’t want to overpay for a zenitco and not know if it’ll get to me. Thanks for your help!
