Any update on availability of any 74 variant?

I dont have any information about more production right now. But I’ll reach out and see if I can find out anything.

Here is what I found out. We cycle our manufacturing of the different AK models/calibers. We will spend some time making one, then swap to the next, then swap again etc. Retooling our machines to keep a constant flow of everything would slow us down to where we arent putting out a lot of anything. So, they should be coming around again, I just dont know when they next change will be. Hopefully this helps.

So my 74 has been in repair for a little over 14 weeks now. Apparently whats causing a delay in repair and im assuming production as well is a shipment of parts psa is waiting on. At least thats what they keep telling me.
That’s a bit of time man. Mine was at PSA for repair from last week of March to 2nd week of July. So about the same amount of time. You should be getting yours back pretty soon. I just shot mine a Saturday for the second time since getting it back (can’t shoot as much as I like, 5.45 isn’t as cheap as it used to be) but the wait it worth it. The new barrel is excellent quality, super accurate and the firing pin no longer seizes up in the bolt.

Yea man its a real bummer. Its actually my second time sending it in for puncturing primers. The first time it was there for 3 weeks so nothing crazy but they didnt fix the issue so i sent it back while it was jammed. I really hope it is fixed up and shipped to me soon.

It would be neat to have some tentative date. I’ve been trying to snag a 74 for a year now. Never been fast enough. I’m also interested in the 104, but don’t want to buy that and have the 105/74 drop the week after I do and have no money for it.
So psa has the parts to fix a youtubers rifle but when it comes to existing customers with no online presence waiting over 3 months for a repair they’re “still waiting on parts”? I love psa man but what the hell.

They have had my sons for over 6 months, in the meantime youtubers have got theirs back in weeks! Way to take care of paying loyal customers PSA.

At this point i have considered looking some where else. You would be surprised how many places have great brands at cheap prices right now?! I was looking at Century Arms and Zastava and both had a few for sale but they went quick. I gave up on PSA for one? hehe Now that im unemployed i couldnt buy one if one did pop up? :>/ So i started playing the lotto! LOL But all kidding aside i wanted a PSA AK74 for a while now? By now if i were to get one i am sure they would be good running as they are Gen2 or more so.Normally any 1st Gen gun any company sends out has an issue or so. Hehe they work out the kinks and then i buy one! tehehe
