Clue me in - what makes it so sought after?
If you search for a aks-74u you’ll only find kits going for 4K+ or assembled rifles on gunbroker for close to 6k. In my opinion it’s the most sought after variant of the Ak demanding the highest price that no one makes.

The AKS74U is very rare in the ak world. The only thing we ever had other than a handful of parts kits were a small batch of Bulgarian guns that came in 10ish years ago.
Other than that the gun is very cool, a great pdw, and has a cool history. It was originally designed for soviet officers, tank crewmen, and pilots. However the spetsnaz ended up using it as well. The gun has almost a mythical status. Even in the middle east it is sought after due to the difficulty to get one.

Im 100% certain it’ll be at the show, and they said release after 101/102’s, we now have the spikers too so I think the krink got passed up for some reason or another. I think there have been production photos of them partially assembled before.
Im wondering if PSA has been retroactively applying their new 74 processes to the krink, or other calibers like 5.56, and if that’s why it has been delayed.
I’m buying one as soon as it’s available, even in 5.45, but a 5.56 makes more sense logistically until PSA starts pumping out 5.45 ammo too.

That makes a lot of sense, personally I’m going with the 5.45 even if I won’t have the opportunity to shoot it as often.

If they’ve been brining (sp) them this long and they’re still good, corrosive ammo should not be a problem.
Simple solution is just make more money, then you can buy more ammo
At least that’s how I’m coping and seething

Im getting a 545 for sure.
And probably one in each caliber now that i think of it lol
For me it’s the scarcity.
I remember playing the original COD MW. (LIke 2007 era) and it was in the game. And I’m like “man I want one one day”
As an adult, there’s all these cheap knock off ak pistols. And you go on some forums and everyones like “durr hurr just get a 7.62 or a 5.56”
And then you look at these pistols and you realize not only are they not the right caliber, they don’t look like a krink at all. And so this goes on for about 5-10 years in my case (ignoring the Arsenals) and you start to think “man why doesn’t anyone make a proper krinkov clone?”

Then PSA being the kings that they are start making AKs…not just AKs but 5.45 aks…and then they start making good aks. And then they start teasing Krinkovs…so I’m just on the edge of my seat over here just credit card at the ready for one.
