No, its not going to be a barrel swap kind of gun.

Because the jakl isnt an AR pistol and doesnt function the same as one.

Just need the PSA 3.5lb flat trigger in there and it would be perfect.

its basically like a galil people can build off the ar15 lowers they already have…

Yes, and just really want the durability and modularity of both platforms. Its a win win situation.

and now, you can also get that high end galil as an upper… i decided to do this myself… im going to sell some uppers keep my lowers and get a jakl 556 because deep down i know i really want that more… but everyone has their preference: i still think the ar15 is great, the ak system just won my heart and i always had respect for the galil because it’s notorious but landed on an ak as well that changed everything for me personally. so i think my go to 556 absolutely needs to be a jakl… in fde

I hear what you’re saying, and you can’t go wrong getting another AR. It appears I have JAKL-in-Box Arriving on Porch without yer Lower Receiver-ism (JIBAPuLRism, an easily remembered acronym for impressing your wife/loan officer :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: ).

I bought one a while back and just fired it. Mine is basically operating as a bolt action firearm on all the settings. Not a single round has cycled and fed the next round successfully yet.

Cool idea, but I have no idea how to go about resolving this problem.

Need some details. Ammo? Did you lube it? Mags?

welcome to the forums @somederp sorry you’re having issues with your jakl

I took it completely apart and cleaned and lubed it twice now. Using both greentip and xtac 55 grain. Tried STANAG, Lancer and Magpul Pmags. I took the entire thing apart and cleaned it after firing as well. Even got in there with a tooth brush after a CLP soak.

Made sure it wasn’t the S plug but the regular plug. Tried all the gas port settings and the widest one successfully ejects most of the time, however, the bolt does not seem to cycle back far enough to strip the next round off the magazine into the chamber.

May try to slap on a suppressor to see if the extra back pressure helps.

I’ve been having the same issues with my 300blk. It won’t go into battery when using subsonics. (see pic)When using super it chars the top couple of rounds on top of the magazine (see pic). When shooting supers, after 3 or 4 shoots the hand guard is extremely hot. I also found rust on the bolt head. (see pic) I have submitted photos and a warranty claim 3 weeks ago and still haven’t heard back. Anybody looking to buy a Jakl would be better off spending the money on the more reliable brn-180

welcome to the forums @PS1 as for your problem… maybe we can see if @Anthony_PSA can assist.

thanks

Thats a new one for me, I tagged the head of repairs in a message with your contact info. He should be reaching out within the next 24 hours to help resolve this.
