So @GamecockOperator and i have actually seen a prototype aluminum G19 frame. Wasnt a PSA but an industry rep. It was cool.

I saw a video recently where they were saying possibly as soon as the end of this year. Likely not the case, but hopefully soon. As a Z365 owner, honestly, I’ll probably still carry my Z365 due to size, but I’m going to be all over the swch as soon as it releases. It’ll be the AR15 of Pistols!!

FYI the SWCH frame is a direct copy of the Live Free Armory AMP. LFA sold the AMP rights to PSA. I own the LFA AMPX which is basically an aluminum framed G19X with a removable FCU . Dagger slides will fit the AMP frame

I also don’t. Metal guns are nice, when they are designed around it. Everything I’ve heard from people using metal Glock clones is that they tend to suck. Don’t soak up recoil like the polymer frame does, never tend to have proper frame features like the very important fencing around the slide stop lever, also that stuff gets COLD really fast. I would hate to use a metal frame/grip gun in the winter.
If I wanted metal frame I’d grab a CZ or a Sig 226 or something, not a Glock but metal just because. The modular design is cool for sure but that’s all I really care for. And even then I don’t see a big point. I don’t mind buying serialized guns, the gov can find out whatever they want anyway.
EDIT: Disassembly is one plus to modular designs. Also not a huge deal though.
