I’ve been thinking about it, and with my Sig P365, my Ruger RAC and my G19 Gen5, I’m really covered in the EDC needs. I’ve had MRDSs on carry pistols and it turns out I’m pretty much equally competent with irons or a red dot, although you can have my P365 with the Romeo Zero on it when you pry it out of my cold, dead hands.
But when PSA unveiled the new SWCH concept, that one really made me take notice. A chassis-type modular system? All metal lower? Grip panels machined out of metal or G10? The chance to custom build a gun like this from the ground up like you would an AR platform rifle is something I cannot wait to do.
Trademarking is miserable. I’m not aloud to trademark papa bear knives. Mainly because of the words knives. But also because in 2021 someone in China trademarked world wide papa bear in the cutlery area. I feel like that was done intentionally. I started PBK in 2019.
I think this gun was presented as a concept gun, but I think PSA needs to move it to production ASAP.
I like the whole idea of chassis system and a metal frame has the potential of creating a new standard for others to follow. Yes, other manufacturers have done the chassis system and the aluminum lowers but they have not put it all together before. The SWCH does have great potential and I hope it makes it into production.
Agreed and aluminum in the smaller frames is the way to go it absorbs more recoil and allows quicker follow-up shots in the smaller firearms. I think the industry is focused on weight based carry instead of intended use. Give me aluminum especially in micro and sub compact sized guns weight will be negligible but the performance will be better.
