Anyone getting snow?

I thought I was too :expressionless:

wow this late in april… i cant imagine snow now. how cold has it been up/out there? we’ve been in the 80s much of this week/weekend. probably to continue next week as well.

Almost forgot - my Brother sent me these, from Thursday morning - about an hour or so south of KC:

Friday it was 89° in Denver

Saturday was absolutely beautiful up here while working on the Jeep, pulling and tearing down the rear axle.

Sunday into Monday we got several inches of snow.

March and April are our snowiest months. April is our windiest…

Our first year up here in March of 2016, we had already gotten our normal 10’ of snow for the season. Then the 2nd week in March we got a 3 foot snow. A week later we got another 3 foot snow. And then a week later we got a 4 foot dump, putting us at 22’ for the year, over twice our normal.

Might seem odd to everyone else, around here it’s normal.

Thats IL weather right now lol any warm day above 60 is expected to have high winds and a storm on the way. Springs been pretty cold this year.

Not done yet…woke up to snow falling this morning, continuing through about noon.

We only get hail. This was yesterday.

Although Florida has the most thunderstorms, Nebraska, Colorado, and Wyoming usually have the most hailstorms. The area where these three states meet – “hail alley” – averages seven to nine hail days per year.

Above 9000’ hail is rare. I’ve never seen it hail at my house, though Denver is a completely different story.

We instead get Graupel, which is snow pellets or soft hail precipitation that is formed when supercooled water droplets are collected and freeze on falling snowflakes. Graupel is seen as small balls of ice, and appear more white than clear.

At least that melts into water… I’ve had 0.1" the past couple weeks and a bunch of seed probably just feeding the damn birds.

wow man i didnt get any hail at all here. most of that stuff missed my place.

When I left this morning it was snowing

Just got home, still snowing

Starting Friday and for the next 6 days thereafter, sunny and 70° :+1:t3:

Man, it’s dry as a bone here. We haven’t had a drop of rain in two weeks.

No snew this week - just Thunda’ Storms….

mostly sunny this week… days been upper 80s with heat index of upper 90s. its been a hot couple of days… with pop up thunderstorms in the evenings from the high humidity and temp.

May be in our last leg of cold weather this weekend, supposed to be mid to high 80s this next week and 70s following this cold rainy weekend

Been in the 60s and 70s at my house

Senior prom is today for my oldest

Graduation is Saturday

18” of snow possible Thursday night through Saturday

They moved graduation indoors for the soft people :joy:

More to come, I’m sure

holy cow i cant imagine snow on the ground in the middle of may. we’ve had it so hot lately 90+ with heat indexing up into the low 100’s has had it where snow is the last thing on our minds.

Denver is 90° today

72° at my house

I have to hook my snowplow back on the ATV, and we’re shuffling firewood in for the weekend

Even in IL right now. Impossible…well…yea kind of impossible lol crazy stuff up there in the mountains. I hope to live somehwere someday where snow is never on my mind.

well you gotta go further south than here… even ccolumbia sc gets snow sometimes. that said, its rare… so it might be close… either way its home to PSA so you know its gotta be a great place to live.
