Its on the list. I can deal with maybe sometimes lol. It def wont ever be a chicago winter. I know id eventually miss colder weather just a lil.
understandable. i like it to snow like one time a year, so i get enough to enjoy it, then it goes away. its pleanty cold here during the winter… just not a lot of snow thankfully. but then again we do have the odd christmas day when its 70* and sunny.
Subzero temps?
Even where I’m at, sub zero is extremely rare.
Winters are awesome, especially without that bone chilling humidity.
Even averaging 10 feet of snow, I wouldn’t trade the winters here for the winters in Chicago, or Virginia.
yeah we get that type of temps, occasionally it goes from well above freezing to sub-zero in the same day. FWIW we’re supposed to get some snow today/tomorrow. Springtime in MT gotta love it. ![]()
90F 42% humidity, feels like 93
and the real humid days are not here yet…
see i grew up in the DC Suburbs on the virginia side until i moved down to sc in my early teens. Those were the only true/real winter seasons ive experienced, cause here in sc its not really a wet snowy winter, but rather a wet rainy winter usually… and not very cold comparitively. Columbia is known to be the armpit of SC as its in the middle of the state and it kinda locks the humidity in from the ocean cause the mountains up in the upstate dont let it past them. The humidity is the whole problem here if you ask me with the weather. if you have no humidity with your snow and weather man i’m a bit envious as i bet it is not near as cold as it has felt here with our humidity.
Current humidity level : 10% ![]()
Current Humidity Level @1023pm 59%. and the temperature is 82* here in ol Red Bank SC
At 8:15pm we’re at 61F and 11% RH here in Reno (4500 ft elevation). Just started planting the garden - we had snow last week, which was real irritating, and a few mornings in the high 20s. I don’t see any damage to my two fruit trees!
Lol 42% would be fabulous!!! Thats damn dry here IL barely gets any light humidity, hate it…
I meant subzero temps in SC lmao
Damn son, cant imagine busting out a sled in May lol
ive seen it happen once or twice. but it was very brief.
man thats so incredible. i wouldnt have thought you’d be getting snow in mid-may. It looks like december to me. That said, the wife would be envious of your fireplace going she loves a good fireplace when its cold out. and half the time even when its not. she has no blood it seems. anywhays… the photos are beautiful. thanks for sharing. still unbelievable to me. lol
Some people have all of the luck ![]()
