Severe weather

Just wanted to post for others to check in if you like. I’m in Alabama and we have 6 deaths thus far. 20 minutes from my old house. Georgia has one confirmed child death.
Praying for all.

I thank God that as of the time I left work yesterday I had not heard of any injuries to our techs in those areas. It can be taxing both dispatching techs into those storms and fielding calls before they get a chance to filter them to the outage recording. It’s a different world in which we live today.

I hope they all get home safely.

i hope you and yours were ok through all that… we were lucky here, no tornados near where we lived really although there were about 4 in the state of sc. I hate to hear of the deaths due to the storms. i can only pray that everyone is being looked after by God.

Thank you for reaching out. Yes my family and I are safe and I’m glad to hear you are as well.
Praying for all that lost loved ones and those still effected.

you’re welcome…

with the weather being this bad in winter, i am afriad how bad spring will be with the storms. we may be in for an eventful spring and summer unfortunately.

Yea it begins…last Friday March 3rd 70+ mph winds for most of the day. Trees down everywhere.

I seen a few big trucks blown over

I found a pine down and a beech that missed the equipment shed thankfully.

Clean up started on the farm. Damage for me is small compared to others.

First thing was fix the roof.

Crew/equipment came yesterday at work to help in the cleanup.

Happy to see you have some help cleaning up that beautiful piece of property. Stay safe sir.

We are also glad the help came. State property and 2 departments working together to Get R Done! Wood chipper/shredder will come tomorrow.

I’m pretty lucky. I never have to worry about severe weather. Stay safe my friends.

No hurricane threat where you are? I love Florida.

Any state with Atlantic coastline has that threat. It’s all I know, though. I find it more acceptable than earthquakes.

Rarely do I see temps this cold, which is counter intuitive to most people based on where I live and the altitude

Usually, I benefit from a weather phenomenon known as inversion. The cold, dense airs sinks to the lowest point, forcing the warm, lighter air up into the mountains

This morning when I left for work it was 22°. When I got to work down in Denver, it was -7°

Ask John Kerry!

Right now in South Louisiana.

Been crazy here in the Augusta GA area. Mainly flooding and high winds. Turns out most Georgians can’t drive in torrential down pour. Our 911 call center was swamped with MVA’s.

According to our county Emergency Management Agency there were 85 accidents yesterday. They’ve asked everyone to stay off the streets so the crews can sand the bridges and overpasses. It was 12 this morning when I got up. Still won’t be above freezing all day. 14 tonight and finally above freezing tomorrow afternoon. This is just crazy for southeast Texas. The sun is out and it’s 18 right now.
