Do I have to use the buffer that comes with the ar57 are can I use the one that is in my psa ar 15 5.56? I want to use the same lower that came with my 5.56 for both uppers until I can buy a new pistol liwer for the 12 in barreled ar 57.

No, at a minimum you need a 9mm buffer or the one that came with your upper. It should have came with your upper.
Thanks, yes it did come with one, but I didn’t want to havre to take apart my psa5.56 lower if I didn’t have to.
Doesn’t take but a minute to swap them.

Does anyone know if the out of battery detonations with these things has been resolved? Or the best way to avoid it? I can’t find much information about this system?
I’VE never had a out of battery situation. But if you’re talking about the gun firing after you shoot it because pice of the jacket broke off, you have to get a replacement bcg and return yours. Don’t know where the onfo is so Contact Buffman and see if he can give you the info on replacement bcg. That is if you have an old one.
I’ve just heard that the earlier iterations didn’t have a safety mechanism to stop the hammer from hitting the firing pin if the bolt was out of battery. Mines still in the process of being shipped. But thanks for the information!
