Hear me out. It’s said the best weight for the BCG and buffer together are about 22oz, to prevent bolt bounce. With the stock buffers these AR-Vs ship with, it comes in around 18oz. There have been so many reports here, on Reddit and on YouTube about failure to feeds and misfires right out of the box. I experienced this myself. The solution? I replaced my buffer with a Macon Armory Extended buffer (7.5oz) bringing my total BCG and buffer weight close to 22oz. And guess what? All of my misfeed and failure to fire issued vanished completely. So the question is, why is PSA still shipping these with the 5oz buffers? For the sake of future customers, please just put in a heavier buffer before shipping them out. Thanks!

Because it depends on ammo. With a blowback, tuning comes from the spring and buffer. If they used a heavier, people would complain it wouldnt cycle.
