“The noun hay refers to grass,
hey is an exclamation to get attention.” Thanks, in the military, I always got anything I wrote sanity checked. Apparently, I still do. But my cat Hershey refuses to help, lol.
this is my x39. I consider it my back ally brawler and I would trust it completely. Oh, and I just noticed on DVOR they got a Spikes Tacticle 7.62x39 bolt on sale… might grab another just becuz!
I have a 300 BLK pistol and carbine and a 7.62 x 39 and a Mini 30. The AR is my favorite and far more accurate that the Mini 30 which I love. Never had a problem. My upper is the cheap Midway AR Stoner. Does not look like much but is wonderful. ####1 choice for an AR is the 762 x 39. The AR Stoner 7.62 x 39 mags have never failed one time, perfect. Forget about ot. Like any AR do not get it red hot and keep it wet, and fo git a bout it.
Having a sword is both available and trustworthy for protection is a good feeling. I feel the same about my little GX4. But love having my 7.5" .300 under my left side pillow
My KS-47 is an AR hybrid. The extractor failed after 500 rounds but PSA replaced it under warranty with an improved Toolcraft extractor. I have passed 500 rounds with the new extractor and it is still going strong. Very fun rifle to shoot.
I load my own freedom pills. Brass casings and 150 gr .308 bullets on top of CFE black. Never an issue. Thinking of replacing the OEM firing group with a Rise LE145 firing group. Other than that, I won’t change a thing on that rifle… well, maybe a new flash suppressor… a nice Warcomp maybe… ![]()

BCA upper, PSA lower, rattle can paint. only issue I have had is gas block screws came loose. looked like no loctite. they do now.
Good looking rifle sir, nice rattle can with the leaves. Love the PSA 3.5 trigger. BCA gets a bad rap put the prices and warranty are fair especially if you have the knowledge to tweak little things ![]()
Well there you go, there are exceptions, and the prices at BCA look even better now. OK now where is that upper I was looking at lol
go get 'em buddy!
I got a cheap BCA x39 upper as my fist build. I ended up having the included bolt crack and the extractor broke. I got a better quality bolt/extractor, got a heavier buffer weight, and I haven’t had any problems with it since.
Welcome to the forum @nelsonalex89 ![]()
I have one in my cart that I’m actually looking at.
For the money even replacing parts, if it’s out of warranty it’s still a pretty good deal.
And I don’t have a X39 ![]()
And you pointed out the flip side of the coin. If I buy the X39 BCA for 179 and the bolt brakes, I have to buy a quality PSA X39 bolt for 150. When I could have just bought the latest generation PSA complete X39 upper for 399. Pay now, pay later or just fire somthing else. But yup its hard to look at that teaser price.
I have 2 PSA 762x39’s, a 16" and a 10.5". They’ve both been ultra reliable. I used to shoot the 16" a lot, it has at least 5 or 6K rounds through it without a hiccup. A 762x39 is a way better choice for a shorter barrel, the 308 loses most of it’s energy in shorter barrels.
why would you pay $150 for a bolt? I can get a X39 bolt for under $50. I don’t think PSA bolts would be anywhere near $150? I wouldn’t know exactly since the x39 parts seem to be permanently out of stock.
That’s the bolt carrier group, not the bolt. A replacement bolt won’t be that much. I just saw a Spike Tactical 7.62x39 bolt for $51. Their BCG was quite a bit more expensive. If the bolt does go you won’t need to replace the entire BCG.
Wait, that is the KS-47, I thought you were looking at an AR-47? Which one are you looking to build or purchase?
