Ar15 platform cannot endure 7.62x39 without parts failure

My PSA AKs work great, those massive bolts designed for the X39. Its the AR platform upper that has the potential issue with cut out bolt to accommodate the X39, and the increased forces of a pistol lenth upper even more. But Im still kicking arount the idea of an AR15/10 pistol upper, most likely 12.5". My hindrance in investing in more Semi-Automatics is this admin’s repeat of a 2024 midnight victory and both houses against all predictions. Can you say confiscation and NO buy back!

I’m kinda thinking you are missing some information. The KS-47 is a PSA rifle based on the AR platform that is designed to accept AK magazines. But it’s still an AR. The bolt has been modified so it makes it proprietary. The lower receiver has also been modified so that’s proprietary too. I don’t know why you keep going on about some kind of extra force in a pistol AR and the bolt issue but there really isn’t much of an issue. Not that I have seen.

Well just so you know, although its of no influence. I dedided to cancel that order (not PSA) and keep weighing the upcoming 2024 honest election, SCOTUS, and my collection in the other. But I wont keep all of you in suspense, and will let you know when and if it arrives. Upper or bolt action.

In my opinion watching YouTube videos all day makes some think they may know more than they actually do :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::grin:

Thats not exactly true and fair. I do have to collect my rent checks and do my chores. In fact you remind me I need to pull the gauge set out and check refrigerant levels, bore, bore, bore.
Excuse me while I look at a YT refresher on HVAC😇

Incase you still have that BCA upper in your cart. I think the price just dropped againe. Just looking out for you…

I was looking at the X39 barrel lenth velocity charts and for me it looks like 10.5" is the sweet spot. So I pulled the trigger on that upper. Hopefully at the range Ill get past 100 rounds without having to replace parts, and join the 12 other reviews that were stellar.

UPDATE: I finally received a response to a forgotten request from CMMG with respect this original topic and my questions concerning the possible purchase of there 12.5" 308 pistol upper for my PS10 lower stripped build. I know some of you are interested, especially clever girl and bunny. Ive redacted the names and there nothing personal in the email, so here it is below…
Hi Xxxxxx!
Our Mk3 products are built compatible with DPMS Gen 1 High profile tolerances. Midlength for the 12.5 inch. Shipping costs are visible before you finalize your order. Use carbine buffer. We are processing orders as rapidly as we are enabled to do at this time, though unfortunately there is currently an estimated 30 day wait time from order placement to shipping of the selected products (excepting Mk3 and Mk47 firearms and components which have an estimated 3-month lead time). I apologize for the wait and thank you for your patience and understanding.
Have a blessed day,
Xxxxx

PSA isnt DPMS high.

I acquired PA10 complete lowers, one mated to a BCA 6.5 Creedmore upper, and another to a .308 both work flawlessly. But thats my experience, I can’t speak for or contradict others beliefs.

“The PA-10 adheres to the DPMS pattern and can take advantage of a vast array of parts and components. The Gen 3 update to the PA-10 lower added the benefit of increased compatibility with more AR-10 bolt carrier groups.”

Not to confuse anyone or give the impression that im fickled. After much consideration and my CC refund posting the x39 refund, I decided rather than yet another X39 platform. What I really need is to hedge my bets against a possible 2024 Woke-election landslide. I have every bolt for basic ammo except 5.56, and this one uses AR mags. This platform can also handle the longer BC bullets with hotter hand-loads without damage or jamming, making it a 5.56 long-range special. Just wanted inquiring minds to know.

Same for the .22lr upper. Heard enough complaints, including the Focus Tripp video.

my select fire puts 762x39 through the mate upper just fine.
i have had one disconnector start to hic-up and replaced it.
i doubt it was the some hundreds of 762x39 but the 10,000 plus 556
that wore it down.
oh and i wanted a short barrel but i decided 12.5 or 13 would be best.
just 556 puts out some real blasting fireballs so …
