Battle Belt - Tactical Belt - Duty Belt

I’m looking for recommendations on what battle belts you use based on your experience.

And - here is what I Think I’m looking for based off of lots
of reading and a few videos.

  1. Easy to grab and throw on running out the door if
need be, but mainly for the range.

  2. #1 means I don’t want it to go through belt loops.

  3. Able to attach Molle pouches for multiple magazines.

  4. Will not sag or roll over under reasonable loadout.

  5. Affordable but not junk. Hopefully around $100 ??

  6. And go. Thanks in advance for your input :cowboy_hat_face:

****. Pics of some ideas of what I’m looking for

A little pricey but seems to have good reviews, I have watched many of Tim’s videos and kinda liked the setup.

I’m using this:
Tacticon Battle Belt | Padded Tactical Nylon Belts | Disabled Combat Veteran Owned Company https://a.co/d/9ZAeot1

After upgradding from a USMC Mollie belt and condor belt.

Current setup, though I just moved the doube ar mag pouch off for a single mag pouch due to weight. A radio tended to get put in the rear mag pouch.

Edit to add:
Please check their adjustability, they cover people like me that are inbetween most belt sizing. A buddy I train with just got one’s for him and his wife.

As much as I want to say it is still a valid system, ALICE puts a hamper in your giddy-up over more modern belt configurations.

I still have 2 full Alice sets but, can’t imagine being in the ball park of the times I make on shot timers for courses of fire.

Speed wasn’t one of the requirements but you could replace a strong side Alice pouch with a open top speed mag holder if the requirements required it.

As much as I would like something better, I always come back to Alice when something isn’t right.

My middle picture above is Tacticon. Of course being US veteran owned is a plus.
@AZ_Joe

i’m with you on wanting one, but not sure what to buy and havent ever done any research. i’m a bigger guy though so size is also a concern for me. Im glad you posted this topic and i hope to learn a good bit here.

The Tacticon large is size 40-46 GCO :cowboy_hat_face:

Actually
Large is 45"-52"
Medium is 38"-47"

I used to use a Krydex QD belt and it wasn’t bad, especially for the price and speed of shipping with Amazon. The MOLLE was pretty strong and didn’t deform or twist under load. But the Cobra buckle was the normal, thinner one and it tended to slowly let out some slack after 8 hours of wear without the velcro inner liner, zero slide when wearing the inner liner belt. I have an Esstac Kywi triple tall AR mag pouch, Esstac Kywi triple pistol pouch, (Glock style mags), a TQ pouch, and a basic IFAK with a 2nd TQ pouch/TQ along with a mini dump pouch and flashlight in a pouch. Handgun holsters have been OWB with metal quick clips that I’d run through the MOLLE as needed, depending on the pistol of the day. That belt is now relegated to my truck as a back seat backpack holder-upright device (and in case I need to use it for it’s intended purpose).

Two weeks ago, I finally upgraded to an AWS SMU belt system. They’re a bit pricier than the Krydex one I had (about 3x the price) but they go on sale for a good twenty less every three weeks or so.

The difference in quality is amazing. Yes, Krydex does very good knock-offs of the gear they copy, but the ASW SMU is in a league of it’s own. It’s rigid in the right ways, flexible where I need it to be. Super heavy duty Cobra buckle with built-in D-Ring, laser cut composite material instead of traditional sewn MOLLE. I’m not liking the larger AWS dump pouch, so I’m swapping that out for a compact one as well as I’m still working on the IFAK. Oh, and added a couple sets of Cobra Cuffs in case the wife wanted to get frisky when I LARP for her in full kit and not much else.

Here’s some shots of the Krydex belt sans holster (because I can’t make up my mind) and the AWS still in progress.

Thanks for the feedback that’s going to help me a great deal in making a decision.

From me continuing to look I will be happier if I increase my budget and put more into the belt and buckle.

Lots and lots of good looking belts on the market, or at least they are at first glance. Of course most are made outside of the US and a lot are airsoft quality.

I’m still looking and glad I didn’t jump on the first ones I saw. I’ll keep y’all updated on my findings :cowboy_hat_face:

I’m kinda fat. I have a gen 1 Tacticon and it fits. It’ll even fit if I get fatter, God forbid. Don’t ask me about its other attributes-it is literally a SHTF item and I have not even worn it outside. I hope to never need to do that.

You really need to get out of the house more :rofl:
@MichaelAnthony

listen this isn’t an advertisement but i’ll sell you one 40% off if you text me all your personal info

Wheres the Kaboom? Theres suppoosed to be an earth shattering kaboom.

I have a condor or 2 and ALICE systems. What I prefer, however are these:

Even cheaper on ebay.

You can easily wear them under any ordinary vest. I think it’s hard to beat, especially for the price. And they are truly one size fits all (between small and XXXL)

I use we the peoples battle belt, I love mine
