Battle Belt - Tactical Belt - Duty Belt

A little $pendy…

Not sure what your medical background is?

I would reccomend a stop the bleed course. Then look at getting a med kit from a reputable vendor;
North American Rescue
Refuge Medical
Live the Creed
Are a few off the top of my head. There are many others.

Skinny Medic on youtube has some good videos along with a stop the bleed vid.

Wrong link sorry.
Looking for the correct one.
Will update.

Not sure if you noticed the updated version of the book is listed in the link for $25.95

Link to the ~$26 version on amazon.

As far as actual kits go, this is one ive reccomended for thers;

$146 for basic, $200 if you get the upgrade to Basic with Combat Gauze LE.

Their list for military kits (aka IFAKs & trauma bags).

I have an update. Besides my vest looking very different now, that Tacticon belt no longer fits. At all. Falls right off. Going with Krydex or surplus for replacement, eventually. I’m not complaining. Glad to have lost the fat.

I have two My Medic MyFak mini pro first aid kit. I have added some more items, QuickClot and bandages into both kits. With the added items it makes a very well rounded Blowout kit.

The kits are very well organized and due to the color coding on the packages it is easier to find exactly what you are looking for. I keep extras tourniquets on my battle belt and my plate carrier.

Anyone using one of these for cooler carry under a jacket or coat?

Pros and cons if you own one.

I wonder if you could take it off once you reach your destination, say a restaurant and then wear it like a fanny pack so it looks less “tactical”

In the past I’ve carried a single sling shoulder bag which I liked but it wasn’t very secure just being slung over my shoulder.

This is just one of a hundred different brands and models and sizes available, I just grabbed this picture. I think I’d prefer one a little smaller or less bulky

.

Maybe this one.

Im not sure that would be cooler. If under a jacket just get a Miami shoulder rig. @GamecockOperator uses one regularly with a button down shirt. It works well.

I’ve not used that one. I have 2 of this brand, different models.

In use during hot weather, it makes a soggy footprint on your chest.

Overall, it’s a great piece of gear, just not a cool way to carry any time of year. I use mine on hiking camping trips for 10+ years.

Third party review from the previous website on one of the Hill People Gear kit bags I have.

Definitely nice and appears to be suited for more active wear than what my needs are. Thanks @AZ_Joe

Here you go @Jammo closeout at $15. Spin to take an extra % off if you dont have an account.

Pass that’s ■■■ looking IMHO but thanks anyway @GuitarGuy

Yep. I tend to skip when I use mine

I like mine for the M/C travels.

Mods, I hope this is not seen as a gratuitous plug for this vendor, given my other link to his site in the black Friday deals discussion.

These mini X-shears are small enough to fit in most belt mounted trauma kits. I bought the full size from another vendor at a much higher price. These are much more comfortable when cutting through heavy fabric like leather or trough sitched seams on denim than the more common hard plastic handle version found in most trauma kits or amazon.

Speaking from personal experience you want to focus on treating the patient/person in need, and not be distracted by physical pain trying to expose a wound. - personal note my hands are kind of screwd up from a lifefetime of manual labour, and I am very happy to use a better quality tool.

Yep Good post - the cheepo’s are worthless.

I’m good with it being here too due to the need for a good pair of shears / scissors in your battle belt med kit etc.
