BCM upper, Like a kid waiting for Santa

It’s not touching

Excellent choice for an upper. My go to rifle is an 11.5” BFH BCM. Sitting somewhere around 25k mileage. Was consistently ringing man sized steel at 460 yards (shout out to AAC 77 grain 5.56) last weekend.

Was a bit overgassed originally so I swapped in a BRT reduced port gas tube. Gas rings wore out a few thousand rounds ago so I threw a complete Toolcraft BCG in it and keep the BCM BCG (with new rings) as a back up/spare.

Yes, other companies use the same stuff BCM does but BCM generally does more in depth quality checks of components.

I have a Tool Craft and FailZero on constant stand by, I have used those brands quite a bit. I’m secretly hoping the BCM has another ‘blemish BCG’ sale after Christmas.

fair.. of course, im just saying what i think id be able to do, as ive never been in a situation to use one of my rifles, so i dont know much less a situation where one of the optics fail where i have to revert back to irons too.. so idk.. i like it as insurance in the very least.

dont get me wrong.. i totaly agree… im just stating in the rare ocassion that i have no space for them to be in front of the optic those were my reasonings. i usually have preferred to have the backup in front of the buis and behind it.. every time.. sometimes some optics are just too big to let you have that little bit of real estate though was all i was saying as a possible explanation.

I do absolutely love those Matech front sights.. but they think they are gold.. bit expensive…

Don, the absolute beauty of the Matech is……It was given to me :slightly_smiling_face: . A younger twenty something had it and (get ready) “Didn’t like the way it looked”!!! I totally forgot about it, if it wasn’t for needing a Magpul grip I seriously could have gone to my grave not remembering it.

yeah i konw lots of the younger guys that dont like the way they look. specially those in the army or marines that got it issued to them on their boot rifles.. didnt like it at all.
