I like the way optics can gather light , thus extending your shooting time. A friend and I were plinking in the woods at dusk one time. I kept shooting and hitting with my 4x32 scope. He had a 3/4 inch 4x cheapo scope. He finally gave up. Said he couldn’t see the target thru his scope. I looked up and realized that I was having a hard time seeing the target with the naked eye. Thru my scope it was bright and easy to see. Thru his the target vanished. I would rather have a scope (especially a LPVO with a red- or better yet green dot) than a Red Dot Sight.
