Sorry to hear that. It is crazy. Alcohol can be addictive and leads to alcoholism. Pills are prescribed by doctors and can lead to addiction and dependence on prescribed medication. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t. 
Fortunately I have no addictions and wasn’t a alcoholic. I just loved drinking, even had ownership in a liquor store.
Morphine is a hell of a drug and I can see how people become addicted.
Now I have to take pain meds every day but I’m not addicted 
Hopefully Alabama will get marijuana out for prescription by 2024.
I was diagnosed with cirrhosis by the VA in Augusta Ga and have not had another drink other than non-alcoholic beer since January 2020.
How would you know if you weren’t addicted?
You take pain meds everyday. The body eventually builds a tolerance. Like not taking antibiotics only when needed.
I’ve had past addictions. Trust me I know that I’m not addicted to RX .
I also have more than one type of medication for pain.
Feh. Up sick with the crud.

My day off and I’m awake before I should regularly be. Why is that!?!?!?!?!?! 
Good morning all. Rainy day here. Wife said last night “oh it’s gonna be rainy and muddy. You’ll have lots of coffee and be sitting in the recliner relaxing”… I laughed and said “I might be walking in the mud shooting off guns!”
She’s usually right thou

Woke up at the regular time, looked at the clock and went right back to sleep.
