Been looking at LPVOs and ran across a clearance deal at a local shop. Its a Bushnell AR 1-6x24 illuminated BTR1 reticle. At what looks like a really good price. I havent used a bushnell since i was younger. Think it was a scope on a little 22 … anyway.
Does anyone have this scope? Is it decent for what it is… thanks in advance for replies
Don’t have one but I’ve heard they aren’t terrible buuuuut, Sig Tango6 1-6x24 is on sale at Primary Arms for $250. just sayin
Oh no doubt on the Sig
My biggest reason for the question is the bushnell was a clearance deal at 160 out the door. My gf was out and found this. Just curious if anyone has one and if it is decent.
Bushnell went through a “PlasticKy-Lens Maiden-Chiney” phase for awhile. I had a hard time actually bringing myself to lay down any kind of money for them.
But, I finally dropped a bill on one of their TR series Red Dots - and they’re quite good for the money. So I bought a handful more.
If their telescopic sights are anything like those, I can’t imagine being absolutely burned by one at that price.
Is it going to have the clarity or lack of distortion of a Zeiss or Leupold, or Brightness of a Nikon? Doubtful.
See if they’ll walk outside with you, and scope some objects - see if you like it. Best advice I can give, without actual hands-on of one of those models.
I told her to get it. I guess I’ll see next week.
My nephew has tried to “borrow” my rt6 so if nothing else he can get for Christmas.
Apparently he threw in a box of 223 ammo…so all is not lost ![]()

I’ve had one for a few years now. Picked it over vortex b/c I liked the reticle more. It’s a heavy scope for the size but seems to be made well. I have it mounted to an AR-15 and have had no issues.
Thats good to hear. I figured for the price it would at least be on line with the amazon ones… in hopes it will be better. Thanks for the info
Agreed on their TR series RDOs. I’m running a TR-26 on a 16" AR and a couple of TR-25s my range toy/loaner guns (10.5" and 7.5" ARs) and haven’t had any issues with them whatsoever. I must have missed their plastic lens days…but I do remember having their scopes on many a .22 in my youth and many pairs of binoculars in Boy Scouts were Bushnell (more lost and dropped hard than anything else) and they always did the job as needed.
