Changing Foregrips on AR-V

I have an AR-V with the mock MP5 hand guard but I am thinking about switching it out for a M-Lok HG. I like the MP5 style but I also get bored and wanna change things up sometimes, LOL! What would you guys suggest as an option?

Any ar15 type handguard will work but if it has anti rotation tabs they may need to be filled as the AR-V upper is a little thicker.

Sounds good…I did see that a 7.3” Aero Enhanced HG fits without filing the anti rotation tabs…I wonder if there are any others that fit? Thanks…that is really good info! I know what to look for now…I really don’t want to file a new HG down!

There are many options without anti-rotation tabs. Make sure you have a vice and the wrenches necessary to change out the barrel nut. Since there isn’t a gas block/tube the process is pretty straight forward. You shouldn’t even need to remove the muzzle device.

I have a full gun bench and tools…just want it to remain interchangable. I’m also interested in adding a Tri-Lug Flash Can…do you still have the ANGSTADT I saw in an older post? That looks pretty cool! Wondering if the AR-V needs any mods for it to fit?

yes. Its really heavy but I have one of the longer versions to clear my rail.

I’ll have to do some measurements and see what size I would need! Here I thought I was done spending money…LOL!

it never stops.

I’m still looking around…I started thinking about adding a tri-lug flash can but I would want it to tuck in under the rail so I gotta do some measurements to see what sizes I would actually need. I think I have the 5” MP5 HG now so I may need to go a little longer to fit a flash can but the big question is if the can diameter will fit inside the rail..LOL! Luckily, I am in no hurry…this is part of the fun for me!

For the flashcards you will need a suppressor ready rail. Midwest industries, Strike Industries, Samson, PSA, etc. All make ones that will work.
