My contribution was made in Milwaukee County but that was years ago. It was shocking to learn that it’s unusual to order a pitcher of beer for yourself and no glass (or straw).

I haven’t taken the 2 seconds to find out how many counties in Wisconsin are represented in the report or how many counties Wisconsin has in total but WOW, y’all left your mark on this study. Raise em if ya got em…toast to the cheese heads.
Kentucky was the first place I saw drive-through liquor stores. Here in South Carolina we call ‘em ABC stores I guess because people want to seem all morally high minded and not use the “L” word. I thought: “drive through liquor store but drinking and driving is still illegal. What am I not seeing?” I know they put covers on open beverage containers but still. Not much different from, “yes my pistol is on the car seat next to me but it’s in a holster so… so… just mind your own beeswax, Nosey Nate.”. Some of us are probably more likely than others to have an arrest in our future.
if you drink enough, just about any store can be a drive-through. Just ask the folks at the Cousins sub shop in West Allis at Hwy 100 and Oklahoma. Or at the Sunoco station near me in Greer, SC.
I live near a bunch of retirement communities.

41 out of 50. Proud cheesehead. But we can’t take all the credit. Over the weekends over 1/2 of the populations of Illinois and Minnesota come visit Wisconsin (where they choose to own a “cabin”). Plus Minnesota’s citizens carry home a ton of good beers that they can not buy in their state.
Good point. They need to do two studies then: one for Wisconsin residents who are drunk and one for people who are drunk in Wisconsin at time of survey. A third survey would be for people in Wisconsin buying alcohol to take back to another state except there’s a hitch: isn’t transporting alcoholic beverages across state lines illegal on account of the state tax stamps? I can see guvermint types using a survey like this to nab evildoers.
Years ago I had a buddy who was a Flatlander and they couldn’t buy Coors in Illinois. Since taking beer across state lines is illegal, I’m pretty sure I didn’t bring him a six pack from Wisconsin. You would think we have more important things to worry about than a guy bringing 6 cans of beer as a gift for someone in a neighboring state.
