I’m somewhat new and all hardware purchases have been made with cash. With all the “leaks” and wokeness the less that knows about my purchase the better.
I dont agree at all with this new form of state surveillance. But aside from using a burner phone every time i want to do something the reality is that you are already being tracked. Your phone, carrier, and who else already knows of your connection to firearms simply by being a member of this forum.
If I remember correctly, EVERY credit card transaction is also sent to the FTC as part of the Patriot Act in order to help combat ‘terrorism’ by looking for patterns - same card used to buy diesel fuel and fertilizer, etc.
I hope so, all my Firearms, Ammunition and Accessory purchases are through my PayPal MasterCard. Just for that reason-as a means of protest. ![]()
So far, I’ve had zero issues with purchases and transactions from any store all over the country. PSA doesn’t mind if I use PayPal MasterCard do you PSA? ![]()
@Yota-walker you need a Cap 1 Quicksilver. I get 1.5% back on all purchases, including at PSA. For a new $1000 gun im getting basically a $15 box of ammo for free.
I’ll check it out. ![]()
All this is getting pretty deep. “They” may be able to track a lot of things a person buys, says or does, but to what end. Remember, there are millions upon millions of firearms and firearms owners in this great Nation. The Libs live in a state of delusion, in a mental utopia that doesn’t exist.
For example, their desire to ban “assault weapons”. 20-30 million firearms. No.
we need to be more concerned with the count of gun owners and not guns. I don’t care about how many guns were sold as much as I care about how many new gun owners were added to the ranks. That’s the more important number as I can only vote once.
There have been a great many new gun owners since the pandemic started. Unfortunately Democrats own guns too.
Why is it unfortunate that Democrats own guns?
Meaning a democratic voting person isnt going to vote republican just because they have a gun now. Most are just hypocritical.
At least a few republican reps have enough backbone to question this.
Because your typical Democrat would give up just about anything if they think big brother is going to take care of them.
Okay but how does them having or not having guns change that? Wouldn’t they be less likely to give up something that they now have? Conversely, happier to restrict access to something they don’t have?
It’s a lot easier to give up something when you don’t have any skin in the game. So I’m I’m still confused as to why it’s bad that Democrats would have guns.
Ok, I will let you explain why a gun owner would vote for a candidate who promises to fight to take his firearms and deny him his God given right to carry and defend himself. That is what Democrats do everytime they cast a vote.
The unfortunate part is that Politicians and the MSM will use a Democrat gun owner as an example of “Gun owners who want greater restrictions” bs. Just ask Gabby Giffords and husband.
Maybe not everybody’s a single issue voter? There’s plenty of people conservative and liberal that want more restrictions on gun ownership. There’s also plenty on both sides who are opposed to more restrictions. I don’t see how simply being a gun owner or not while being a Democrat is unfortunate.
I saw a video of a guy who’s been a lifetime gun owner and conservative talking to Beto and saying he wants more restrictions on firearm purchases. Is it unfortunate that that man owns a gun?
It is unfortunate that that man is being used to represent gun owners. Everyone I know owns firearms and not a single one wants more restrictions.
God given constitutional rights are not a “single issue”, but the second amendment is the only one that is under constant threat. That is due to Democrats.
I stated more than once that I dont agree with it and it is BS.
Please don’t assume anything based off the state I happened to be in when I popped out the womb. I’m not worn down and I haven’t laid down. I’m no longer in California btw (refugee)
I agree with everything else you said. Again, I stated more than once that I dont agree with it and it is BS.
All I have pointed out is seeing that you bought firearms with your debit/credit cards doesn’t really matter. The government absolutely already knows you have firearms and ammunition. Buying guns with cash will not keep anything off the radar.
If they want to stop you from purchasing anything via a card, they will simply just do it. They dont need to track your previous purchases and build I guess it would be a profile on you before doing so.
But as a gun owner, they would represent at least some gun owners right?
Someone being okay with a restriction for say magazine sizes or increasing the age limit doesn’t necessarily mean they’re on board with confiscation, right? Are all of your friends so monolithic that they oppose any and every measure having to do with guns? Are they in favor of private nuclear weapon ownership? Or Sarin gas ownership? Or grenade ownership? I mean after all those are arms, which is what the second amendment refers to.
To put a bit of a nail in this because I don’t see it going anywhere worthwhile: Your original post seems to have implied that it was unfortunate that Democrats own guns because then they could defend themselves. I’m sure no responsible gun owning American would want to make the argument that other responsible gun owning Americans should be harmed.
Even if that’s not what you meant, that’s how it could easily be perceived.
I have explained my meaning for the last time.
But being okay with mag restrictions=infringement
Age limit? Uncle Sam can put a m240 in the hands of an 18 yr old, but he can’t own a Ruger 10-22? Infringement.
I won’t even begin to address your rediculous example of weapons of mass destruction. Sounds like a true Democrat.
