I just purchased a Dagger compact frame for a build I’m starting. The Dagger frame is probably the most comfortable grip I’ve ever held. I purchased an aftermarket Gen 3 slide from Black Phoenix Customs due to it working with the Radian Ramjet & Afterburner I purchased for the build. Once I took the slide out of the package and tried to mount on frame, the trigger bar gets in the way. Once I override that issue, the left side of cover plate doesn’t match up. Very frustrating. Are there any fixes?
Pics would help. Easy solution: return the slide and buy a dagger slide you know will work.

get some 19L action going on instead
I returned a Dagger slide yesterday because it doesn’t fit the Radian Ramjet & Afterburner cosmetically due to the Extreme Carry Cuts. This slide does.
Thank you!
If only the Dagger slide would only fit the Radian Ramjet & Afterburner…
All slides will go a little to the right but come back to the left. What i have seen is that although many companies say “this is gen x compatible” you get tolerance stacking issues. I am beginning to think to say "Glock Gen whatever compatible " is much like saying “AR10”. There isnt a single standard and while it may work, it may not simply because it cant be the exact same as a glock.
even with glocks, many times i find a certain combination of parts simply work better than others and have to swap frames, slides, disconnectors, even barrels… i use dagger upper internals on glocks for better triggers without light primer strikes.
that’s why i recommended the compact x… it’s like a built in comp even better than one you screw on and will be roughly the same total length
Squishing the slide and frame together when putting the slide on will cause this even with factory Glocks.
You have to wiggle the slide past the obstructions through the backplate, up and down or side to side as needed.
Even my complete Dagger had that “issue” with the slide moving. Look at underside of slide. There’s a cam/track/step where the connector rides, which causes your trigger reset. The trigger bar hits this as it goes on, it’s just more prevalent on newer guns that aren’t broken in, and on guns with the Glock Gen4 or Dagger OEM trigger bar, since it has the nub on it to keep it more aligned over the safety plunger. Slight wiggle takes care of it.
For the cover plate, a little dremeling will take care of it. (assuming wiggling doesn’t make it fit) The lower portion of the cover plate isn’t really necessary, only the bits behind the striker and the extractor plunger. I’ve shot with a homemade armorers plate, which is just a normal one cut in half horizontally. Don’t go that far though, just trim until it fits. Also make sure it is seated all the way. I’ve noticed my Dagger’s cover plate slot fits tight and looks like it goes all the way in, but is slightly cocked on the left side. I have to push harder on that side for it to pop up into place.
