Well…stippled my dagger S FDE frame and removed finger groove … learned fde polymer turns black with heat…but overall happy…
That looks good!
That looks good!!
Good job ![]()
I like the contrasting colors. I think it looks great.
Really wasn’t expecting it to get so dark, some discoloration yes…but overall happy
I feel the same… the contrast between FDE and black looks good.
Any plans to do more on that frame?
Looks good with that hint of black.
Not really…took a really long time to get it…as clean and clear as i wanted.
When its black polymer. Like my other guns its less difficult. Dont wanna poke the bear and end up with something i dont like.
So… when do you want to do mine?

I just did the same, probably should have checked forums first for FDE, mine turned black too lol. its a beater / workhorse so i dont care really, feels much better, i found the factory texture slippery after a while
How would anyone suggest cleaning up the sanding marks from removing the finger groove if I choose not to restipple the front of the grip?

High grit/smooth sandpaper, then use some Meguiar’s plastic restorer on it. It’s an automotive thing but it will make it smooth again instead of that dry, rough feeling.
Starting to believe that FDE frames are made of a different composite than the black… every time I stipple a black frame I have no problems… but when I do an FDE it becomes a headache.
BTW… on the full size dagger Model S… be very careful as you start stippling all the way towards the bottom the polymer gets thinner and you can easily burn through or make very thin.
Referring to the sides not the front. where white line is…
My tan one was just as easy to stipple as the black for me.
what do you use to stipple?
Just a cheap soldering iron.
Try a light sanding to get the black bits off.
Got to be quick with any color besides black, use different heat also
