Correction I was at a Glock masters with a buddy who had the same issue but his was with an actual Glock 19 and they said it can be excess plastic in the mag in the section I marked in the photo but here’s pics of the lower with and without a mag using the gen 3 Glock slide release

Have you tried a Glock OEM mag?
Your mag looks like it might be slightly different than mine.
I can’t get my Dagger to replicate what yours is doing but I also have the original mag release.
Click on the 3 little dots … bottom right
and the trash can will pop up for you.

Looks like the magazine follower doesn’t reach the top. I had a similar issue with one of the Magpul 17 magazines… I took it apart, laid the spring correctly and reassembled it.
