Damn I Love This Trigger

3.5# Match Grade Flat Drop In Trigger

That is all :+1:t3:

It looks like a 2.5 lb. hodo you like it? Was it expensive??

I love it. I’ve paid $99 for each one. It’s my understanding that when introduced a few years ago, these were $119-$129, so they’ve actually come down in price.

It’s advertised as 3.5#, but it depends on where you measure from. Pull from the center and you get the 3.5. Put the gauge near the bottom, right on the slight hook, and I’ve seen them measure 2-2.5#. Leverage…

There is no take up, and the pull is short. I’d say it’s about 3.5mm, so somewhere between 1/8 and 3/16. The reset is about half that. You can feel the reset, and you can hear the reset as well.

There is an extremely light grittiness when the trigger starts it’s movement rearward, then it goes away as you continue to pull. This thing is brand new though with like ten test fires…that initial grit will smooth right out.

So there’s two things that are mandatory for my PSA guns, the SMB and this trigger.

:+1: thank you for your review rocky mountain, i like how the center is hollowed out, i used to buy alg triggers for the aks, when they were $40, just saw one selling for $125 :person_facepalming: i guess i would understand if it was double hooked, but they are merely single hooked :man_shrugging:

Are these better than the Hiperfire rbt triggers that are in the Sabre?

I can’t answer that for you. Haven’t used those triggers.

But this is a great trigger for the price point.

And it looks good as well.

Thanks

The hyperfire triggers are amazing. I dont know what else i could compare them to @dredlocsta . They were at The Gathering 2 years ago and we got to test a bunch of them.

I have a Hiperfire in a Sabre I built. In my non-professional opinion it’s an excellent trigger with crisp feel, a quick, tactile, and predictable reset, and essentially zero takeup, while not being unpredictably (and dangerously, imo) light like some other “premium” triggers out there.

You still have to give it a little to make it go, which I think is a good thing. I’ve fired some other big-name brand AR triggers that I thought were too light (think 1-1.5lbs pull, a hair feel,) and had me feeling uncomfortable while handling the rifle because I couldn’t predict it exactly, almost like an accidental movement of the finger could make it go boom. The Hiper isn’t like that.

That being said about the Hiperfire, while I am a big fan, I also have two builds using the basic silver PSA EPT, and I feel they’re very comparable to it. The EPT has an extremely similar feel in takeup and reset to the Hiper, and is only slightly (and I mean SLIGHTLY) heavier on pull. Honestly the biggest difference is the smooth curved face of the trigger which is entirely a subjective thing.

Both are noticeable upgrades over an everyday standard mil-spec AR trigger.

I ordered all my PSA lowers with the EPT tigger.

I feel that this one is even better than the EPT.

I gave all my EPTs away to buddies…

EPTs are a great next step over standard mil spec. But hyperfire , G, and LaRue are better still.

You talking about these @GuitarGuy

Disregard, found them
