Was thinking of adding. 308 to options, semi-auto,AR-10 etc., have intermediate calibers and pistol calibers covered let’s say.
Though was also considering a Dagger (for glock variant) and back-up AK (PSA or other).
Third idea was delve into quite possibly financial ruin and get into thermal/ and or NODs.
So basically;
Stopping power/hunting options
Redundancy
Enjoy it while we can and have fun.
Would be thrilled for constructive feedback if understanding options.
Cheers
The obvious answer is, “Here are my kidneys, so I’ll have all of the above, please.”
Reordered in increasing cost. Daggers are low enough cost that they make a good amount of sense for a backup or redundant pistol. Basically they fall into the “why not” bucket, especially if you can get one on sale. A backup AK sounds reasonable too, though with the higher cost, it seems like it would warrant more consideration. If you already have mags and accessories, ok. But if you’re all AR, maybe not.
The AR-10 and maybe an extra upper in an alternate caliber are likely a better use of the money than NOD/thermal unless you have a specific use case in mind for either. You could have much more range or power or both than the intermediate options.
Night vision and thermal are super powers you can actually purchase in the real world, even though the cost is absurd. I can’t bring myself to spend that much because I can’t realistically night hunt anywhere near me, so it seems more of a fun item, and that’s a heck of a pricetag for occasional fun or hypothetical usefulness.
