Hi Everyone,
Can someone tell me the differences between the ‘old’ BCG (I bought my upper back in late 2019, haven’t used it due to health stuff) and the new BCG with the TC-E extractor?
Is it just a matter of swapping out the extractor? Or do I need to do more?
Thanks, I find myself at that stage in life where I just want stuff to work, and tinkering is less than ideal.

Well, it’s my understanding that there have been 3 BCG’s for the KS-47. The first gen were pretty much just standard AR BCG’s with 7.62x39 bolts. The second gen were labeled Hybrid and basically have some machine work to the underside to remove material to allow the BCG to clear the AK mag feed limps and they chamfered two of the bolt lugs for the same reason. The newest BCGs they are using are just second gen BCGs with Tool Craft enhanced extractors.
There are some pics in this thread. Hope this helps

Yep, that’s exactly what I was looking for, thank you!
Also, I could be wrong but I think I remember that the old bolts are 9310 and the TC-E bolts are Carpenter 158.
I know it would take up more server space, but it would sure be nice if PSA had an ‘archived’ section with the older specs on it.
