So got an email about a slickside upper receiver coming off back order from another vendor and ordered it immediately. Arrived here today and it’s black not grey. Not vendor’s fault I just jumped the gun and didn’t check before ordering. Question is now have it powder coated or try the Norells route or sell it and wait again for someone to release some in grey?

Have you been watching H&R on the PSA website for slick sides? You need to check often, things pop in and out
Funny you should say that as I bought the proper grey XM16E1 lower last night because of a thread I’m following on another forum. Apparently I don’t get in stock notifications from PSA even though I had the XM on my list.
That gets sent after they’re in stock for an hour. IIRC if they’re sold out before that hour elapses then no email.

You need to pop in and refresh a couple times a day, I picked up a XM16E1 lower and now have a M16A1 on its way.

I stumbled across a stripped E1 slickside lower just last week - it’ll be here tomorrow.
Just need a stripped upper now, and I’ll have everything but a few bits and bobs for an acceptable 601.

When I ordered the M16A1 lover I did a quick buy because I thought it might sell out before my next break upon further looking it was marked A1 but partial fence, I think it was a photo mix up, but Mike personally reached out to me to make sure things were right… Hopefully someday they will do a shaved 604, and maybe an all black S.W.A.T. like the 1970s show, partial fence and 3 prong

Brownells has or had them on sale for $99.99, not sure if the serrated were the same price, didn’t notice.

Yes I’m building a slickside upper for the Dissapator but not the black upper I posted earlier. That is the port door I’m looking for but everyone is on back order.
