Does this look right?

I have a 11.5" PSA complete upper I purchased that has been stored away as I haven’t had time (or money) to finish the build. Ended up using the BCG for another build, but someday!

I was curious how exactly the hand guard connects to the barrel, so I took it off and found this.

Does this look right? I checked my other upper’s I’ve bought and they seemed to interface properly, granted they’re different style hand guards. This seems as if someone just cranked down on the screws to have it lock in.

Any input I’d appreciate!

Yep. Looks ok. Those are the anti rotation screws. Same thing with gas blocks. If the barrel isnt pre-dimpled you crank down the screw to create one. Keeps it from moving then.

it looks like it was connected to the barrel nut properly to me…even dimpling it for the set screws… very nicely done actually.
