Exomag finally out!

Placed a preorder in early March, came in the mail today. I bought the ejectorless version for my Banshee.

thats an interesting mag. i’ve not seen them or heard of them before.

whats the application of it?

It’s a 9mm magazine to use with a milspec AR lower and either a blowback or radial delay upper like the Banshee. Same company makes Endomags that go in a Magpul P-mag. These are complete, no need to buy the P-mag and convert it. They make them with a built in ejector for blowback bolts or ejectorless for bolts that have a built in ejector.

oh cool. sounds like its a good thing to have

Since the cartridges are all the way to the rear, I’m curious if a MagLula for 5.56mm/.223 would fit on top. The lack of a loading assistance device for my Endomags has always bugged me. It takes so much longer to fill them than it does to empty them.

I’ve got the Endomags. No problems so far

Please let me know how those work out. May be time for something different

Do you find the Endomags hard to load or is it that you could load faster with a device?

It’s not difficult; it just becomes a bit tedious to thumb-feed 30 rounds, or 60, or 90 … I think that’s why God made stripper clips. I even emailed Mean Arms, to ask if there was such a thing as a magazine loader, and they said they had no plans to design or make anything like that, but that they would “pass the idea around”. This was when the Exomag was in the “coming soon” phase, and all their time and effort was dedicated to bringing that idea to reality.
