Failure to Feed

No, it’s not a common issue.

I got the gun back from PSA yesterday after sending it in for repairs. Supposedly they polished the feed ramp only to fix it, but in looking at it I seen quite a few metal shavings inside the lower which I cleaned out. I took it to the range and ran 4 35 round mags through it without a single issue. I wish I could tell you what exactly PSA really did to fix the issue, but it seems whatever they did (besides polish the feed ramp, which wasn’t

polished) worked great. Time will tell to see if it continues working great. It was great to actually shoot the gun without issues!

Having trouble locating the PSA mags on the site, can you attach a link? Much appreciated.

Yes, the AK-V and ar-v mags are the same. I avoid the magpul, as they dont work well with rhe cz scorpion either. Lots of issues. Never had an issue with my psa mags.

Thanks! I wanted to be sure as returns are a challenge with PSA IME.

Back again. Long story short im an otr trucker so time is short at home, and getting this weapon returned is a pain to schedule lol.

I did however have my brother take it out to the range and get a couple photo’s of the malfunction and the damage to the brass when it happens.

Would again welcome any thoughts on possible causes.

Thats really purple…i like it!

As for the issue…how far back does the bcg travel? Pull it back with the charging handle and then stick your finger through the ejection port. Can you push it back even farther? Im wondering if it is gaining too much speed which could lead to a fail to feed.

I’ve got the same problem. Did you find an answer?

I am getting a failure to eject a round after being fired. It gets bounced in the chamber or smashed by the bcg. Used 3 different magazines and both brass and steel ammo. Still after every shot she’ll gets jammed. I think I found the issue looking through this forum. Bent ejector.

The easy fix is to bend it straight. The longer fix is to send it in and get it repaired.

How far over to does it need to go? I’m think it should be in line with that notch on the BCG?

Yes. It look like it just needs to roll inward a hair. GO SLOW.

@Girthbrookz did bending it back fix your issue?

So how do the CZ Scorpion Magazines fair with the AR-V?

The gen 1 are supposed to work. The new scorpion mags do not because CZ changed the design. I personally have only used PSA mags

How does one tell gen? I have been using a CZ Scorpion EVO 3 / 20-rd mag and has been feeding well through couple hundred rounds now.

The new gen just came out, and is called the 3+. Its mags will work in previous gen scorpions, but old mags will not work in the 3+ (along with psa mags not working also).

Ahhhh, got it. That’s what I have a 3+ mag. It is only a 20 rd but has been working well.

Interesting that they updated their mags. Apparently, they’ve gone to an ambi AR-style release. It will be interesting if anyone modifies the old to fit the new (if it can be done).
