First Shots on New Rifle

I got my new AR15 for Christmas and I finally got around to getting out and shooting it today. Had a good time with some friends at a local range and it was the first time I had shot a weapon since retiring from the Army over 10 years ago…it really was like riding a bike.

The weapon shoots well. I only have the Magpul MBUS sites on it. No failures, with just about 100 rounds shot downrange. Didn’t get to zero the weapon because of the way the range was setup, so I will have to get someplace to really get dialed in.

Good stuff, I am pleased with the purchase.

Good for you @imjustabill1970 , now comes the hard part… dropping all that money on an optics and other gadgets that you neeeed and then then paying for all the ammo you will be burning up!
